Washington wins another one and takes a full game lead on the 7th seed at 30-25 (with Orlando at 27-24). This game was back and forth throughout the first half and finished tied at 49, but a big 3rd quarter by Washington broke the game open and they took a lead as large as 17 in that quarter. Philadelphia would not go quietly though, and they forced a crazy number of 4th quarter turnovers to cut the lead to as little as 4 but they were able to get no closer as the Wizards played some stall ball to escape with a win.

    Washington stats:
Nick Young- 23 points, 4 rebounds, 3 assists, 3 steals
JaVale McGee- 20 points, 6 rebounds
Andray Blatche- 20 points, 10 rebounds
    Marco Belinelli- 13 points
John Wall- 8 points, 14 assists

We thought putting Luol Deng on Derozan would slow his scoring down a little bit, but we were completely wrong. Derozan finished with 32 points and 6 boards, but didn't get much help from his teammates outside of Bargnani. The Raptors had a tough shooting night from behind the arc, going 2/15, but we weren't much better at 3/14. Rose and Hibbert led the way again with 24 and 19 respectively. Boozer added another double double with 10 points and 13 boards, including 6 on the offensive glass. Good game JrRawlins . Not sure I can get lucky enough to have you miss all those 3's again.

We managed to hold Paul Pierce to only 10 points, but Rondo and Gordon both had 20+ point nights to keep the Celtics in it. Rose and Hibbert cancelled them out though, with 27 and 22, and Rip chipped in 15 to give us the edge. We dominated the boards 45-35, Boozer had 12 and Deng had 10 of them. Boozer has been a monster on the boards for us lately, and I believe he is leading the NBA in rebounds per game over the last 2 weeks. Since pulling down 21 against BBJ and the Blazers he's been on a tear.

Not a pretty game by any measure, aside from the play of Paul Milsap for the Jazz and Stephen Curry for the Warriors. Curry scored 38 of the Warriors 83 points and Milsap had 26 (I believe) of the Jazz 77 points. Ultimately, the inability of Utah to hit 3's (at one point in the 4th quarter they were 0-11 if I recall) doomed them in this one, as they really outplayed the Warriors throughout the night.

    Good game JFace907.

    Spurs 66
    Pistons 99

Detroit dominates the Spurs for the 2nd time this season with a huge victory. They were just too athletic and their defense stifled the spurs, each and every quarter they scored less and less. Tim Duncan deserves better than that.

    Pistons 97
    Cavs 72

Big 1st and 3rd quarters proved to be the difference in this one. Gordon and Knight scored over 20 and both guys lived at the line. Sessions and Jamison gave good efforts but didnt get help from anybody else.

    Pistons 107
    Sixers 89

Jrue and Iggy played quite weell but the Pistons scored too consistently for The Sixers to keep up. They got a solid effort from the bench and that helped propel them to the W. Knight finished with 22 , 6 and 8. GG Pagamer07

    Pacers 93
    Pistons 102

The Pacers did an excellent job of pushing the pace and running with the Pistons. They gave a solid team effort with 6-7 guys in double figures scoring. Greg Monroe wasnt having it though as he had by far his most dominating performance of the season with 33 points , both Bigs really kept the energy up with rim rattling dunks all night. Knight lead the back court with 29 points as well and was key in the victory. GG sonn

    Kings 108
    Pistons 109

The Kings lead for most of this one but Detroit wouldnt be denied. To Start the 4th the Kings went on a big run and extended the lead to 13. The Pistons fought back and cut the lead to 1 point, but then again the Kings pushed it back out to 10 points with about 2 minutes left. Ben Gordon then went to work with 3 pointer after 3 pointer to bring the lead to 4. With about ten seconds left Knight throws up a midrange jumper to bring it to within two, but it bounces out, Tayshaun is there with the putback dunk though to bring things to two points with 3.8 seconds left. The Kings call a timeout and inbound it at halfcourt. Maxiell is on the spot though and tips it, looseball. Tyreke dives for it but is too slow and Prince picks it up. There arent any timeouts left so this is it. Prince dribbles about 3 more feet and gets the ball off with .3 seconds left from about 5 feet behind the arc. The ball hangs in the air and it swishes! The refs go to the review and deem it good and Detroit steals the victory.

They bitched me in the paint of all places. Drawing fouls and sinking the FTs. They also killed me with what i wish i had so badly, the midrange game. Ty Lawson was strokin like a porno bitch in a gang bang. If the Nuggets can keep from losing, they will be your 8th seed.

It ain't gonna be me. Congrats to Denver I guess. I play them soon too. One of my last game. The race for 8th in the west is an abomination.

    Washington 105
    Cleveland 87

Washington (improbably) clinches a playoff berth this year. At 31-26, they've already exceeded everyone in Washington's low expectations and anything that happens in the playoffs will just be gravy for this team. On the day, Cleveland was simply completely outmatched as all 12 Wizards scored and 5 scored in double figures.

    Washington stats:
    Nick Young- 19 points
JaVale McGee- 14 points, 11 rebounds
Rashard Lewis- 14 points, 8 rebounds
John Wall- 13 points, 15 assists
    Marco Belinelli- 10 points

    T-Wolves - 88
    Warriors - 75

This was one of the weirdest 2k games I have ever played, and the Warriors should have ran away with it, but they were extremely cold. In the first quarter, the Wolves had 8 points with about 1:30 left, and then Martel Webster went for back to back threes and a layup to actually get some scoring going. Webster led the way in the 1st, and Kevin Love led the way in the 2nd. The T-wolves started the quarter slow and were down by 6 when Kevin Love single handidly went on a 11-0 run, including 3 threes and a turnaround jumper in the post. The T-wolves took the lead into the 3rd. In the 3rd quarter, the wolves were led by Love again, who had 26 going into the 4th quarter.

Then, Derrick Williams took over. Before the 4th, he had 2 points. After the 4th quarter he had 26 points. Those 24 points came from jumpshots at the short corner, and 3 three pointers. Lamar Odom just kept laying off him, so Williams rose up and hit the shots. The rest of Minnesota's team scored 2 points in the 4th quarter. There was not much team offense at all in this game. Webster led them in the 1st, Love in the 2nd and 3rd, and Williams in the 4th.

Warriors are now in 5th in the West, and .5 games out from 3rd seed, with 3 games to play, 1 more than the Blazers.

    Oklahoma City 82

In a shocker the Mavericks dominated the #1 seed Oklahoma City Thunder. A huge second quarter where they outscored the Thunder by 10 is what pushed them to this victory. Dirk Nowitzki made his statement for MVP going 14/21 for 29 points. The Mavs shot an incredible 57% to the Thunder's 40%.

you too. I was just waiting for Durant to make 8 in a row. He had that one fade away in double team early on and that was the only Durantula shot that he had. Dirk always does that, it was Terry that stole the magic from Durant I think.

    Knicks 120
    Raptors 101

After an ankle injury forced Carmelo Anthony out for two straight games, New York's main man returned to guide the Knicks into the 2nd round. Anthony's 34 PTS along with 8 boards and 6 assists led New York to a 120-101 victory and a date with the top seeded Miami Heat in Round 2. Bargani and DeRozan both poured in 26 and Jason Thompson finished with a formidable 10 and 16. But Toronto struggled at the point guard position, both offensively and defensively. Although gathering 12 steals of their own, the Raps were victim to 16. Baron Davis constantly broke down Jarryd Bayless and got to the rack for 26 to go along with 11 assists. Shumpert provided his usual spark off the bench 10 and 6 in 18 minutes. New York moves on to face a very scary Miami Heat team who always give them fits.

    Knicks 99
    Heat 76

New York surges past Miami in game 1 and crushes the Heat 99-76. The Knicks were able to limit the big 3 and LeBron led Miami in scoring with 17. LBJ dominated the ball handling and surprisingly, the Knicks staff had Shumpert checking him for large stretches of the action. Bron did an awful job of defending Melo, getting beat down for 37 points and outhustled for 11 rebounds. Stoudemire chipped in with 21 pts and Shumpert rounded out the scoring with 16 to go with 7 dimes. Miami will surely have to show more in game 2, while the Knicks will really look to put their foots on the neck of the series by taking a 2-0 lead.
