    Boston 87 - new Orleans 80.

Neither team really played that great. It was an off shooting night for both teams. The 3rd was putrid on both sides as we combine to only score 26 between us. At one point in the 3rd new Orleans was 3/16

It was a tight game though until the 4th when pierce went off to pace the chowds to a 32 pt qtr to finish off the hornets.

Gg timpegoose I'm sure this game was bitter sweet. You lost the game but you helped your draft status

We now have completed all user games and have 7 games left total. But those are not any 7 games. We play the heat, hawks and bulls in 3 of those. All 3 games are critical to our playoff position. Right now we are in a dead heat with the bulls for the 3 seed which is a difference of playing the hawks first round or the pacers. Obviously we would prefer the hawks. Someone else can worry about taking out the pacers.

Cavs play rude hosts, routing Pistons by 39

    Pistons 53
    CAVS 92

Cleveland, OH: The Cavaliers came in to this one looking to make up for their lackluster defensive effort last game against the Raptors and they did just that. The Cavs held the Pistons to under 20 points in each quarter with the lowest being 11 in the fourth. The Pistons were only 21 of 63 from the field which equates to an awful 33 percent shooting. "Thats got to be either the worst shooting night or best defensive effort i've seen in my entire basketball career," said Pistons coach Larry Frank. "I'll give the Cavs credit, they came out wanting to suffocate us and a lot of our players came back looking like the air had been taken out of them." Leading the way for the Cavaliers was again their ROY candidate Kyrie Irving scoring 21 points with 12 assists and shooting 50% from the field (8-16). Kyrie never even stepped foot on the court in the fourth quarter in what will lead to some much needed rest for the youngster. Tristan Thompson was next in line for the Cavs with 16 points and 8 boards.

Knicks sweep Wizards in high scoring affair

    Team 1st 2nd 3rd 4th Total
    Wizards 24 34 27 17 94
    Knicks 28 30 25 27 110

    WIZ

John Wall 28 PTS, 4 REB, 10 AST, 3 STL
Jay Robinson 18 PTS, 1 REB
Adnray Blatche 10 PTS, 14 REBS

    NYK

Landry Fields 43 PTS, 3 REB, 3 STl, 1 BLK
Amare Stoudemire 14 PTS, 6 REB, 3 AST, 2 STL
Carmelo Anthony 15 PTS, 5 REB, 5 AST
    Baron Davis 7 PTS, 4 REB, 13 AST, 1 BLK, 2 STL

In a rematch of the Double-OT-Thriller earlier in the season, The Knicks took down the explosive Washington Wizards to move back into 1st in the Eastern Conference. New York continued their dominance at home, moving to 21-3 in Madison Square Garden. Coach D'Antoni and his staff made excellent adjustments all game and Landry Fields ended up with a career-high 43 points.

    Landy Fields after the game:
"When you play with explosive guys like Melo and Amare you're going to get open looks and its up to us to knock those down. Tonight, Washington really focused on Amare and Melo with doubles and just wanted to move the basketball and make them pay for over-committing. With playoffs approaching, we are hoping to continue playing well and end up with a memorable season when its all said and done."

    OKC - 118
    ORL - 102

The Thunder jumped out to an 11-2 lead early on in the 1st quarter and really didn't look back, scoring 37 in the frame, and 31 in the second to lead 68-53 at the break. In the first half, the Thunder shot 8/10 from 3 point land.

Hedo scored 30 (i think) on the game as he tried to match the balanced scoring of the Thunder. Kevin Durant put in 30 of his own to pace the Thunder. Westbrook scored 17 points, but was limited to 7 minutes in the 2nd half as the bench players played a lot. The story of the game for the Thunder was the performance of Serge Ibaka. Ibaka grabbed his usual 11 boards, but scored 18 points on a variety of nice moves in the paint against Glenn Davis and Dwight Howard.

The win puts the Thunder at 29-13 and they sit a mere 1/2 game behind the mighty Bucs Lake Show. gg Bondzai

New regime starts off to mixed results
    Timberwolves 78
    Bobcats 66
Defensive battle with both teams struggling to find consistent offense. Michael Beasley had a nice game with 32 points 5 rebounds and 3 steals and had support from Luke Ridnour who had a good all around game with 15 points 5 rebounds and 6 assists.
    Heat 93
    Timberwolves 71
Rape is the best word to describe the game. Miami got off to a 23-5 start thanks to LBJ and Chris Bosh hitting some ridiculous shots. Tyrus Thomas led the way for the Wolves with 18 points and 8 boards on 8-12 shooting.
    Grizzles 85
    Timberwolves 84
Zach Randolph hit the game winner with 10 seconds left. Ridnour had the potential game winner rim out at the buzzer. Beasley was once again the best player for Minnesota scoring 32 on 13-22 shooting while adding 6 rebounds.

    Timberwolves 97
    Nets 87
Deshawn Stevenson had a monster game for the Nets finishing with 25 points almost all of which came from 3 point range where he was 7-15. Beasley had another monster game for the T'wolves with 36 points and 5 rebounds. He finally had some help as Derrick Williams added 17 points and 12 rebounds while Luke Ridnour had 11 points and 11 assists.

    Timberwolves 90
    Clippers 84
Derrick Williams carried Minnesota for the first 3 quarters and Beasley took over in the 4th as Minny upset the Clippers at home. Williams had 28 points and 9 rebounds while Beasley had an efficient game scoring 24 points on 9-15 shooting while adding 5 rebounds, 4 assists and 2 blocks.

Yeah good game man, both of our games were pretty brutal offensively. We'll just say we play good defense :) I agree with the bitter sweet part, I'm really hoping for a top 5 pick... After that the class drops off pretty heavily and I would really like a solid PG.

    Wizards 111
    Nuggets 98

2 very big stories to come out of this game, and neither were the win by the Wizards. The first, and most obvious, was HOLY SHIT JOHN WALL. With a GOD-level 1.9 PPS, Wall led his team with 61 points and just for good measure he decided to tack on 11 assists and 7 rebounds. The other main storyline to come out of this one was an injury to JaVale McGee. Going up for a layup, he came down funny on his back and was forced to miss the rest of the game. He's officially out for 2 more games, but Washington may rest him for a few more games depending on how the race for the 6 seed looks because they'd really prefer to avoid Blaza and the Knicks in the first round.

    Mavericks 86
    Timberwolves 79

Lamar Odom led the way for Dallas scoring 16 points on 7-9 shooting and Jason Kidd had 10 of his 14 in the 4th quarter. Beasley had 30 points and Wesley Johnson 15 but no other Timberwolves player had over 7.

    Timberwolves 89
    Suns 77
Ricky Rubio was moved into the starting lineup and had a nice debut scoring 12 points adding 6 assists and 3 steals including a big and-1 late in the 4th to put the game out of reach. Wesley Johnson was the player of the game with 11 points 12 rebounds and 5 assists. Shannon Brown had a horrible game for the Suns scoring 15 points on 7-22 shooting and went 1-11 from 3 point range.

The Milwaukee Bucks travel to south beach and get a win over a Miami Heat team that is already locked into the playoffs. The Bucks were led by Kemba Walker who had 31 points and mentioned that it was "an overall team effort". The Bucks are playing for pride at this point but they also can play spoiler for some of the teams battling for the 8th seed.

Kemba 31 Pts 19 Ast 3 Reb 2 Stl...... Blaza only 3 TO
Jordan Crawford 19 Pts off the bench
Chris Singleton 16 Pts 11 Reb 3 Ast 4 Stl

    Lebron 28 Pts 6 Reb 6 Ast 3 Stl

Celtics get big win vs. Chicago 93-77

We have been fighting for the 3 seed for the last month and today we landed an over hand right to the Bulls.

We started out on a 10-0 run fueled by Rajon Rondo and we never looked back. Pierce led all scorers with 37 on 16-25 shooting. KG had 20 and 9. But Rondo was the man today. He recorded a trip dub with 18 pts, 10ast and 10 steals. When he starts penetrating and getting to the line this offense hits a whole different level.

    acheivements unlocked:

wire to wire - do not allow your opponent to lead the game at any point with any team, in a non simulated game

trip dub - record a triple double with any player in a non simulated game.

The Milwaukee Bucks played host to the Cleveland Cavaliers who are in the hunt for the 8th seed and it is the matchup most people were waiting for Kemba vs Kyrie part 1 and the return of Andrew Bogut to Milwaukee. Both rookie guards started the game off great but as the game went on Kyrie definitely had an advantage scoring wise as he finished with 37 points and was the only Cav in double figures. On the other side Kemba Walker led the Bucks with a double-double as he scored 21 points and dished out 11 assists. The play of the game came with under 10 seconds to go as everyone and there mother thought Kyrie was going to take the game tying shot but instead passed it off to a wide open Andrew Bogut who choked on a 3 ft lay up and the Bucks were able to seal it up after a few free throws.

    Kemba 21 Pts 11 Ast 4 Reb 2 Stl 1 Blk
Chris Singleton 16 Pts 7 Reb
Larry Sanders 10 Pts 6 Reb 2 Blk

    Kyrie 37 Pts 6 Ast 3 Reb 3 Stl
Tristan Thompson 9 Pts 10 Reb
Andrew Bogut 8 Pts 12 Reb 2 Blk

    Much Needed Win For Cavaliers

    Team 1st 2nd 3rd 4th Total
    Cavs 21 25 26 23 95
    Hornets 18 16 14 19 67

New Orleans, LA: After an embarrassing loss in Dallas on the 26th the Cavs were looking to bounce back in NOLA on the 28th. Bouncing back is exactly what they did. Kyrie Irving led the way for the Cavs scoring 21 points with 10 assists. Interior defense though was really the key for the Hornets as they missed many baskets close to the hoop due the heavy contesting bigs like Andrew Bogut, Tristan Thompson, and Andy Varejao were doing around the rim. "They've got some trees down there, i swear there were times where i just couldn't see the rim after going up," said Hornets guard Eric Gordon. "That's part of the reason we acquired Bogut, we needed interior toughness and he has given us just that," said Cavs head coach Byron Scott. The Cavs now go home for a 3 game homestand which includes matchups against the Clippers, the Kings, and a rematch with the Mavericks. Great game Timpegoose

Knicks rep East Coast--cruise against Thunder

    Team 1st 2nd 3rd 4th Total
    Thunder 26 18 25 29 94
    Knicks 35 31 29 35 130

    OKC

Russell Westbrook 30 PTS, 5 REB, 5 AST, 2 STL
Kevin Durant 26 PTS, 5 REB, 2 STL
Kendrick Perkins 12 PTS 8 REB

    NYK

Carmelo Anthony 49 PTS, 8 REB, 1 AST, 1 STL
Iman Shumpert 13 PTS, 3 REB, 3 AST, 2 BLK
Landry Fields 12 PTS, 6 REB, 4 AST, 2 STL
Andrei Kirilenko 12 PTS, 3 REB, 3 AST, 3 STL

In a matchup of NBA powers, the high powered OKC Thunder visit Madison Square Garden for a matchup against the Knicks. OKC struggled early, having a hard time finding buckets and giving up open looks defensively. Carmelo Anthony kept Durant busy going off for 49 on 21-27 shooting. Russell Westbrook did a good job getting into the lane, but New York let him get his points while trying to limit KD and the rest of the Thunder. Westbrook finished with 30 on 13-27 shooting. The Knicks as a whole were red-hot, scoring at a 61% clip.

New York was able to play some reserves during the final stanza and really got a chance to get a good look at their new piece on the roster. Andrei "AK47" Kirilenko who has signed a one year deal for the MLE and has really boosted New York's defense.

    Coach Mike D'Antoni on AK47

"Andrei is a veteran guy who knows what it takes to win in this league. Andrei, at 6'9" is versatile guy who will help us tremendously, especially at the '3' and '4' spot. Offensively, he can nail an open jumper and defensively, he is a long freak (pause) who can guard the 2-5 in spells. He will most likely move into our 6th man role (bumping Iman Shumpert) and come off the bench for Melo and Amare at the forward spots."
