With the AFC being all but over in terms of teams making the playoffs (Seeding is still up for grabs) it is the NFC that seems to be very interesting with only 1 week of the regular season left. The Rams have clinched the top seed and a win for the Panthers against the Steelers would clinch them the 2nd seed. If the Bears can beat the Lions they will be the #3 seed with the Giants claiming the 4th seed. The two wildcard spots however, have yet to be decided. Let's look at the teams fighting for a chance to get in! -The Packers are currently sitting at 10-5 with 1 game left in the season.-If they beat the hapless Buccs they WILL claim one of the two WC spots.-A loss will mean they will need other results to go their way to get in. Chances of Making the Playoffs: 95% I don't really see how the Packers can lose next week against the CPU Buccs. For a team to turn it around after wayers took over and not make the playoffs when they are in the driving seat would be a disaster for the cheeseheads. I'm sure there is at least one guy out there (looking at controllerabuser )who wouldn't mind the Packers missing out though -The Saints are currently sitting at 10-5 with 1 game left in the season.-If they beat the Falcons the WILL claim one of the two WC spots.-A loss, and I am pretty sure they will miss out due to tiebreakers. Chances of Making the Playoffs: 50% The game against the Falcons in week 17 will make or break their season. Win, they are in. Lose, they are out. The Saints get to be in playoff mode a week early. Can they rise to the challenge? This looks to be THE game of the year as both teams still have hopes of making the playoffs. -The Falcons are currently sitting at 9-6 with 1 game left in the season.-If they beat the Saints, they have a chance at the playoffs.-Lose and they are out. Chances of Making the Playoffs: 25% The Falcons MUST beat the Saints to have any chance of making the playoffs. After that, it all comes down to tiebreakers as 3 teams (Cardinals included) could be 10-6 with only one of them getting that last wildcard spot. IF the Cardinals lose to the tanking Vikings next week then I am pretty sure a Falcons win puts them in the playoffs, a Cardinals win however could complicate things but with their season on the line I expect the Falcons to try their best to win this one, and at least let the tiebreakers decide who gets into the playoffs. -The Cardinals are currently sitting at 9-6 with 1 game left in the season.-They MUST beat the Vikins to have any chance at the playoffs AND hope that the Falcons can beat the Saints to force a 3 way tie for the last WC spot.-Lose and they are officially out, regardless of the Falcons/Saints game Chances of Making the Playoffs: 15% The Cardinals would have been in the driver's seat if they had beat the 49ers last week, and would have guaranteed themselves a playoff spot as the #5 seed if they beat the Vikings. However, that was not to be and now Arizona must beat the Vikings and hope the Falcons beat the Saints to even have a chance at the WC spot. I am not sure how tiebreakers work in madden, but if all 3 teams are tied at 10-6 I am pretty sure the last spot would be between the Cardinals or Falcons with the Saints having 5 conference losses, 4 of those being division losses as well.
