Texas came into the shoe awfully confident today. And went back to Texas with their horns tucked between their legs." We expected them to come in and be a little more fired up for this game with all the smack they had been talking" said Heisman hopefull Terrel Pryor. You just cant come into any stadium and turn the ball over repeatedly and expect to win. Let alone the shoe. The game started bad from the get go for Texas when they fumbled on the opening drive and OSU took it back for 6. Teas would manage to tie it back up at 7 to get a little momentum back. But than Dan Herron took a toss play and when 70 yards. That put OSU up 14 to 7 before the Ints started for Texas and B. Gilbert.
The ints in a row set up three OSU TDs and beore you know it coach Miaze had disappeared like half the BIG 12 conference. "Ive never seen anything like that" said coach Ben." I thought he had just ran to the bathroom Like Joe Pa a few years back",
but no he just vanished like a ninja. Final score Buckeyes 42 Longhorns 7.

The Irish came out throwing the ball all over the field, Dayne Crist who had a solid day before getting injured threw for 200 yds and a TD. Michael Floyd had a big day having 8 receptions for 160 yds and 3 TD's, while armando allen rushed for over 100 yds and a TD. The big play of the game was a 97 yd Int return by CB by Robert Blanton in the last minute of the 1st half to put the Irish up 21-0 going into the half. Notre Dame goes to 1-0.

well it was a good game folks there where to teams on there field on the field. It was a excellent game between the two teams both stood with good defense. The opening drive there was a interception and gave usu the ball. Makeing oklahioma down one touchdown early. The game went back and fourth till coach caudill had to call a game winning drive. They marched down the field and ended up fumbleing on the drive to win the game. But there's plenty of games lies ahead tough loss the the sooners.

Shoot out this game was awesome from start to finish. Coach Gabeastmode comments on Va Tech and say " Va tech is very fast..very fast" this team is not out of the running for a BCS title. Boise st came out strong the first quarter making va tech go four and out. Boise then went down the field and turn the ball over in he redzone from K.Moore int. Va tech strikes blood first in this game of the week matchup. From that point forward was all defense both teams getting turnovers and four and out's. CoachGabeastmode "OT thats where you seperate the men from the boys" Boise st picks defense and va tech early started to get closer to the endzone behind the legs of Qb Taylor then boise Cb Gavin int taylor pass in back of the endzone to end there overtime. Boise taken over knowing all they needed was a fg. Behind the strong legs of Sr Avery ran in a td from 6 yards out to end the game in ot .

    USF vs FSU

The New Look Florida State Seminoles under New Mangagement, began their post Bobby Bowden Era against the South Florida Bulls in Talahassee. Last year the Bulls shocked the overly confident Noles with a convincing win. They had no answer for the highly athletic Bulls Q.B., B.J Daniels. He single handedly tore them a new one. This year however, Coach Forever had other things in mind. The Noles defense came out and forced the Bulls to turn the ball over four times to give them a great chance to win the game. The Noles offense did sputter at times; looking like they were learning on the go. Towards of the end of the third and fourth qtr, they seemed to jell just enough to get the job done. The win is a first of what Coach Forever hopes will be many. Next week, The Noles travel to Norman to do battle with the highly skilled Oklahoma Sooners.

    Final Score:

    USF: 7

    FSU: 27

    The Bucks Versus the U

The Hurricanes waited a long time for this match up and the the way this one went, they may want to wait another 7 years for the third one.

The teams were scoreless in the first quarter. Miami would jump out to a 7 nothing lead in the second quarter but Ohio State answered with a 1 yard Boom Herron touchdown run to tie it up at 7. Miami would score once more in the second and Devon Barclay would add a FG with no time left. To make the score 14 to 10 Miami at the half. Miami took their opening drive in the second and kicked a 44 yard FG putting them up 17 to 10. However Ohio State would answer right back with a big play from T. Washington. Pryor would role out and loft the ball in the air for a streaking T. Washington coming acrossed the middle. Washington would make the catch and 87 yards later we were all tied at 24 point apiece. "I just didnt want to drop it " said Washington after the game.

The next Osu drive is when disaster struck for the Buckeyes as Terrel Pryor would scramble and get hit hard falling awkwardly on his throwing shoulder. Coach Ben would say after the game"yeah it sucks , but were not a one man team, and we got two quality backups".

    J. Bauserman would hit J. Stoneburner from 13 yards out to give Osu a 24 to 17 lead with about 4 minutes left in the game. Both teams offenses would stall, but with about 2 minutes left Ohio State got a play from their special teams. "That fellow who had this job before me would say, thats why its the most important play in football". Im not sure about all that, But that kid Barclay deserves some credit. His Punt would hit the 2 yard line and bounce sideways dieing at the 2. Putting the Hurricanes in horrible field position with under 2 minutes to go. The Defense would apply the pressure and j. Harris would crack throwing his second pic of the day to Sr. Devon Torrence. Devon would take it back for 6 and it was over final score Buckeye Nation 31 the U 17.

next week for the Bucks a bye week versus Ohio U.

    Robinson, Michigan Run Over Irish

Notre Dame's Spot- Both teams came off very easy wins last night and today's game was both programs real tests of the season. The offense dictated the flow of this game but defense decided it.

Early on it seemed the Irish could do no wrong as they jumped out to a 14-0 lead early in the first quarter. Irish quarterback Dayne Crist would open up the scoring as he connected with TE Kyle Rudolph for a 13 yard TD pass. The Wolverines would have a controversial fumble on their next possession as the Irish once again cashed in. This time Junior HB Armando Allen would race in from 31 yards out to give the Irish a very early 14-0 lead.

Something needed to change for the Wolverines. That change was Denard Robinson. His presence alone on the football field throws defensive coordinators into fits. His presence Saturday brought the Wolverines back.

After Notre Dame's second score Coach JerzeyReign decided to 'untie' Shoelaces. Early on in the drive Coach JerzeyReign let him keep the ball on a option, quick 8 yards. Now the mood was set. Sophmore QB Tate Forcier would continue to lead the Wolverines down the field before Shoelaces would enter back into the game on the Irish 29 yard line. Robinson would bust through a huge hole in the middle of the line on a QB Blast and take it to the house. Just like that the Irish lead was cut in half.

Notre Dame already focusing on Robinson's running ability after the option earlier on the previous Wolverine drive seemed to forget that he was also a quarterback on their next one. Forcier led a great drive into Irish territory before Robinson was subbed back in. Standing at the Irish 22 yard pass and staring into a zone, Robinson audibled WR Martavious Odoms to a streak pattern. Once the ball was snapped all 22 eyes of the Irish defense stared at Robinson and forgot about Odoms as he snuck past the secondary for a 22 yard touchdown reception. The score cut the Irish lead to 3 and it gave the Wolverines a much needed boost.

The Irish would add a field goal on their next drive but Mr. Robinson was not through yet. On the Wolverines next possession and with time running down Robinson would break free another option and race 63 yards before finally being dragged from behind to put the Wolverines in excellent field position. Forcier would finish it from there as he connected with Darryl Stonum for a 12 yard touchdown pass to give the Wolverines the lead. After being down 14-0 early in the first quarter the Wolverines walked into halftime with a surprising 21-20 lead.

The Irish were forced into a 3 and out to open up the second half. An excellent punt had the Wolverines sitting on their own 10 yard line. Not wanting to risk taking a huge sack, Coach JerzeyReign decided to put the hot hand (or feet) in as Denard Robinson checked back in. A simple option to give the offense some breathing room actually sucked the breath out of the Irish faithful. Robinson would take a speed option left, make the safety miss in the hole, and race 90 yards untouched for a 90 yard touchdown run and gave the Wolverines an eight point advantage.

The Irish would gather their wits and respond with a touchdown of their own but the Wolverines had them off their rocker. Forcier would lead another drive deep into Irish territory before HB Michael Shaw would take a counter in for the score from 10 yards out.

Trailing 35-27 heading into the fourth, the Irish offense hit a snag. The Wolverine defense would pin their ears back the entire fourth quarter and create havoc as the Irish struggled to get anything going. After an unsuccessful fourth down attempt Coach Drunken and the Irish finally waved the white flag as the Wolverines ran off the final 2 minutes of the clock.

    Florida State vs Oklahoma

The Florida State Seminoles were very efficient in their victory over The Oklahoma Sooners. The Noles relied on a balanced attack to keep the very talented Sooner team at bay. Florida State RB, Chris Thompson lead the way on the ground with 87yds on 19 carries with 3 tds. The defense for Florida State also played a huge role in the victory as they held the Sooners to under 159yds of total offense. Next week, The Noles travel to Mormon country as they face the Cougars of Brigham Young.

Hold up! This just in! Florida State has been put on upset alert by Lee Corso. Corso and Herbstreit believe that Floida State will find a way to lose against an less talented BYU team!

    Michigan Outlasts Pesky UConn, 27-17

Ann Arbor, MI- The Wolverines were forced to work for this victory as UConn tried to embarass the Wolverines in their home opener. UConn was close to pulling off the feat as they shocked Michigan as they grabbed a 17-10 halftime lead.

The Wolverines defense would wake up in the second half as they shut the Huskies out. The offense finally got their legs under them and posted 17 of their own points.

Coach JerzeyReign stated he was happy to get the win but their are alot of areas to work on. Next week the Wolverines travel to South Bend to take on rival Notre Dame.

    #17 FSU vs BYU

The Florida State Seminoles responded in a huge way against the BYU Cougars at Lavell Edwards Stadium. Having been put on upset alert, Coach Forever took this personally. “We don’t think we’re the best team (right now) in the country, but we can surely play with them. I challenged this team to show the FBS that The Noles are and will be a team to be reckoned with!†-strong words from Coach Forever during a pre-game interview.

The first saw both teams trying to figure each other out. Florida State would get on the scoreboard first on a 20yd field goal. BYU had two opportunities to tie and take the lead, but came up wide left on two short field goal attempts. Florida State would lead 3-0 after one.

The next qtr was similar to the first until late in the qtr FSU’s QB, C. Ponder would find a wide open WR, J. Fortson for a 40yd pass and catch to extend their lead to 10-0 with 1:29 remaining before the half. Florida State thought BYU would be content and run the clock out to take it into the half, but The Cougars had other plans in mind. BYU’s QB, R. Nelson would seemingly pick the FSU defense apart. The would drive the ball the length of the field and cap of the drive with 15yd strike to cut the deficit to 10-7 at the half.
“I was pleased with our efforts until that the final sequence of plays right before the half. You can’t give a team like them any moment when their playing in front of their home crowd. It’s a recipe for disaster!â€
Florida State would respond to the late score of BYU very early. QB, C. Ponder would find a wide open T. Easterling on a crossing pattern and he would do the rest; taking it 83 yds for the score to extend FSU’s lead back to 10 only :37 seconds into the qtr. This is where BYU fell apart. On consecutive drives, BYU would turn the ball over and FSU would respond with scores to blow the game wide open with a 28 point 3rd qtr.

    Christian Ponder

Ponder completed 17 of his 24 att. for 361yds and 4 td’s against BYU

    Wolverines Continue To Roll

Ann Arbor, MI- A game that was supposed to be the Wolverines first hiccup of the year was anything but that. The Wolverines offense continued their hot streak as they rolled the Mizzou Tigers 41-17 on Saturday.

Missouri looked to be the dominant team on their first possession of the game. The Tigers used their uptempo offense to march down to the Wolverines' one yard line. Going from a 4 wide set to a goal line set, the Tigers hoped to catch the Wolverines off guard with a quick pass. The Wolverines were not fulled at all as RE Brandon Herron, who dropped into a zone, picked off the Blaine Gabbert pass and raced 100 yards for the pick 6.

"I told 'em all that running in the offseason would pay off." Coach Jerz said before boarding the team bus.

After both defenses forced punts, the Tigers finally got rolling. They used their uptempo offense that worked so well earlier in the game to knot the score at 7. A two yard touchdown run by Derrick Washington would knot the score.

Disaster would strike for the Wolverines on their next possession as they would fumble the ball away. Mizzou and Blaine Gabbert would answer quickly as he connected with Wes Kemp for a 8 yard touchdown pass. Just like that Mizzou went from down 7 to being up 7 in just over one minute of game time.

Tate Forcier would respond and lead the Wolverines to paydirt with a 19 yard touchdown pass to Grady to knot the score. The Tigers would begin marching again right before the half but would have to settle for a 20 yard field goal to give them a 17-14 lead at the half.

The Michigan defense would wake up after the half. The defense stuffed the Mizzou offense early and often as their own offense managed to knock in two FGs in the 3rd quarter for a 20-17 lead heading into the fourth.

Michigan would force a Missouri turnover on their next possession to open the fourth and Vincent Smith would take a toss from 4 yards out to stretch the Michigan lead to 10 early in the fourth.

The bleeding did not stop for the Tigers though as on their next possession they were bit by the turnover bug again. This time JT Floyd would return the interception back for 6 and put this game out of reach midway thru the 4th. With just over two minutes to go in the game Forcier found Stonum running free down the middle of the field to end the game's scoring.
