2 YEAR DEAL FOR FORTE Chicago, IL The Bears today announced at Halas Hall that the long awaited contract extension between them and star RB Matt Forte has, finally, been signed. Although not as long as some fans wanted (2-years) the Bears felt they got a deal, as it is worth just over 5.5 million a season. "We are extremely happy Matt will be a Bear for 2, and hopefully longer, years. Matt is the leader of our offense and is our best player. We knew we had to get this done, so we are very pleased Matt opted to stay a Chicago Bear." The Bears also signed extensions with CB Zackary Bowman, CB Corey Graham and TE Kellen Davis. Expect more resignings and, in return, releases today and tomorrow. Exciting time for Bears fans, free agency and the draft approaches!
