    Cal 55 Illini 35 Video Clips <===

    With coach mramirez attention focused to off field activities the fighting Illini didn't put up much fight.

    Something was missing and it showed on the first drive. The Bears moved down the field effortlessly, scoring on consecutive drives in the first quarter. Cal added a FG early in the second quarter to go up 17-0. After that the track meet was on.

    Cal would score on big plays.

    82 Yard TD to TE Jeremy Poe
    78 Yard rushigh TD by HB Calvin Cameron
    52 Yard TD to WR Darrell Richardson
    73 Yard rushing TD by HB Jay Walker

    Those were just the TD's.

    Cal ammassed 727 total yards in a game void of defense after the Bears stopped the Illini on the opening 3 possessions. Illinios put up 388 yards in the air but only managed 13 on the ground.

    Big win for the Bears. They have stayed focused despite long hour work weeks, etc. Illinois and UW are proof that that is not easy.
