    Beavs Prepare for 2010 Season

    June 17, 2010

Corvallis is anxious for the upcoming 2010 college football season. This town believes their Beavers could be smelling roses. They are not alone. With the acquisition of coach Cimmy in the offseason, Oregon St is prepared to go far. Last season in BfR, Cimmy grew his Nittany Lions into what could be labeled one of the best dynasties in college football. With two Big10 Titles and 4 straight BCS Bowl wins, including the coveted Rose Bowl, this coach knows how to win. This team is loaded with talent on both sides of the ball. HB Jacquizz Rodgers will be the fire in this offense as he is a preseason favorite for the Heisman Trophy. The other pair of the Rodgers brothers, WR James Rodgers will be the go to target for new QB Ryan Katz. Katz will be replacing Lyle Moevao under center of this Beaver offense.

On the defensive side of the ball the Beavers will be led by DT Stephen Paea. The 6' 1'', 311 lb Paea will be a force in the middle of that Oregon State defensive line. This Beaver defense looks to be a lockdown defense in the Pac10, which will feature some of the NCAAs best running backs. Look for coach Cimmy to bring his powerful run stopping defense to Corvallis to light fire in the Oregon State defense.

Looking ahead at the 2010 schedule, Oregon State has one of the NCAA toughest this season. Tentatively, they will take on both TCU and Boise St in their out of conference schedule and face the always tough Pac10 regulars. With both USC and Oregon coming to Corvallis, the Beavers are excited to have the aid of Reser Stadium on their side.
