Any suggestions on the best place to buy Madden?
Usually Best Buy has nice events for Madden release at midnight. I guess it depends on your location. Im hearing the one by me is going to have a few Lions players their for release (I'm in Michigan) as well as a tournament. Don't know if this is true or not, but that would be awesome.
psn store chaoticut , search for it and it can be downloaded soon you buy it
I've read in years past that some "mom & pop" video game stores will allow some people to buy the game early before it's Tuesday release? Has anyone experienced this? lol I actually called around last year one day to various stores around my area (Columbus OH) and asked them if they had Madden in yet and if they would be willing to sell it early. No luck, but it was worth a try, and I know it's illegal as well but I've read some forums where people say they've purchased it a day or 2 early without the EA Sports Season Ticket......
If its not a major retailer they are allowed to sell it when they receive the shipment because they have no release date commitment with EA.
Very Well, Thanks for clarifying that....anyone know one of these types of stores in Ohio ??
Can I download it now? I know I'll have to wait till the 28th to play, but is it possible to download it before that date?
There's one in Columbus, I used to buy games from them all the time before I became a game changer. You'll have to find it for yourself though the manager has asked me not tell anyone new now that I'm loosely associated with EA SPORTS.
That's not technically true. Everyone has the same street date some people just don't follow it.
Oh, I thought that some stores just never signed something with EA. My bad.
YOU just had to say something didn't you!?!?! You've got me searching now...any hints on suburb, street name etc.? Your word is safe with me I promise. Message me if you're feeling extra kind. I'm in Columbus
Madden will be available via digital download on both PSN and XBL, no?
I always buy from my local GameStop. Gotta keep my local gaming store in business.
i buy mine off amazon and get 15 dollars off the next game i purchase like fifa or mw3
the shippin price is the same as paying taxes on game.. and i get it at 2pm every release date.. i can wait 1/2 day for 15bucks
Did Amazon up their shipping prices or something? It used to be 99 cents for release day shipping now its $8...?
naa its free shipping for 3-5 days.. i paid 7 dollars to get on release date, which is what taxes should be.. and u get 15 dollar credit toward next purchase
no you have to download it on release day
Holy crap bro where do you live where you pay over 10% in sales tax. I need to know because I'll put that on my I'll never live there list.
8.5 percent.. pretty close
Early release is coming up, I am anticipating that. I also have work off that night
Just get the Season Ticket from EA. You'll have the game Friday night for an extra $25. (Plus you'll get FIFA, NHL and Tiger early as well - even if you don't buy them). And you get discounts on any DLC you buy.
IMO its a bargain considering the mom and pop alternatives. I've gotten Madden twice through mom and pops. Factor one is the time and hassle. Calling places. Asking them to hold it. Then driving to East Bumfuck to go pick it up. Compared to downloading it at 6 and playing by 7/8.
One time I had to drive two hours to Maine and the guy made you buy the prima guide as well. So an extra $20 plus gas money. Another time I got it from a guy at MM who received it on Thursday and then overnighted it. That wasn't cheap either. And regularly you'll hear tales of folks charging extra for it.
Missouri has the lowest sales tax of any state!
Preordered mine through amazon in June. 99 cent release day shipping.
Usually it is limited time.
