The Cowboys traveled to East Rutherford, NJ on Sunday to face a new look Giants team. No more Eli Manning, no more Antrel Rolle, no more Prince...and a few others the Giants moved on from. A familiar face for maybe 30 mins during the 2004 Draft day until he got traded for...Philip Rivers takes the leadership role for the 2016 season. In his first meeting of the Dallas/NY rivalry, Rivers looked sharp.

The Cowboys would get the ball first only to go 3 and out. Right out the gate the Giants got things rolling. Rivers put together a stellar opening drive, finally capping it off with a play action 23yd td pass to ODB. The Boys struggled early to get anything going. The Giants SS Darian Stewart would pick off Romo to set the Giants up nicely. But the Cowboys had a big blitz to knock the Giants out of FG range.

For the most part the Boys run game was solid on the day. Murray would rush for 96yds and 2tds. But the Giants offense was just too much. The combination of Cruz, ODB and Randle was too much. Not to mention the play from Rivers who hit his WRs in stride all day. Rivers would finish the day 16 of 22 for 264yds and 2tds to lead the Giants to a 27 - 14 victory.
