The Bills took sole possession of first place in the AFC East with a win in Foxboro.

After the Bills punted and the Pats kicked a FG on their first drives, Buffalo saw a nice string of plays culminating in a 3rd and long TD pass to WR Watkins from about 30 yds out. The Pats would later answer to tie the game with a nice drive on a TD run from inside the 5. Bills would answer right before the half with a FG, highlighted by a long WR Watkins screen and a big grab over the middle by speedster Goodwin.

With the Pats throwing 36 times and only rushing 7, they became highly predictable and Buffalo was able to sit on everything in the air. With the game being tied or within one score most of the game, it was odd to see NE go this route. Two huge interceptions, one coming late in the third during a nice drive, within BUF territory, really killed their momentum. The Bills added a late FG to put them up two scores, while the Pats answered with a TD, but it was too late. Final score 19-17

Offensive MVP: WR Watkins 8cths 121yds 1 TD
    Defensive MVP: MLB Alonso 6tkls 1int 1ff
