The Pats came into Buffalo looking to take sole possession of first in the AFC East. It started off that way in the first quarter, with NE putting together an opening drive that saw them get 3 points, and a quick 3 and out by BUF added up to another 3 for NE. The Bills would put together a very methodical drive, that ended in a short TD pass to WR Watkins.

It was mostly BUF from there, as the Pats couldn't really get anything going the rest of the way. First play after the half, QB Manuel ran play action and hit a streaking WR Watkins for a 75yd TD bomb, putting BUF up 17-6. A pick by CB Gilmore basically put the game away, as the last action NE saw was a 4th and goal from BUF's 5, which ended up being a pass deflection in the corner of the endzone.

Stats showed a close game, as both teams threw for 151yds, with NE running for 10 more yds. BUF was able to go almost 50\50 once again in terms of pass\run, which is key for them.

Offensive MVP: WR Watkins 5 cths, 108 yds, 2 TDs
Defensive MVP: LB Alonso 7 tkls, 3 pass deflections, 2 TFL
