Saints are excited about the possibilities of this young man, and with the two starting spots nailed down, the sky is really the limit for Reyes. Again, saints have a fail safe plan in the very talented and versatile Jenkins who can play all of these positions.

Singer posses a balanced attack and will fight for every yard every play. The home grown project from LA is excited about his chances, has this team made, but will have to work for playing time. Saints Hold Off Packers In Opener To Start 1-0
Green Bay, WI- Savage Mason Reporting

After another quick offseason and a horrible ending to Season 5, the Saints were re-loaded and looking to make yet another run at their NFCS title, and hopefully this time take a deeper ride into the OMFLPlayoffs. There is no team comparison for week one, but we'll get back to that soon.

Saints would get the ball after the Saints D forces the 1st of 4 turnovers on the day. Saints would cash this one in with a great Greene 20 yard td run to take a quick 7-0 lead.

After trading a few punts the Saints would nail the Pack deep and then get back on the board with an Ellis sack for a safety for a 9-0 lead.

Packers would get back on the board as the 1st quarter came to an end with a Boutte 16 yard run. 9-7 Saints.

Saints would get the ball and begin their drive. Brees, on a 3rd down, would see the right side open up large and he would take off for the 5 yard td run. 16-7 Saints.

Saints would force another int, but this time the Pack would hold Hartley to a 21 yard fg for a 19-7 lead.

Packers would answer with a great pass to Jennings as he would some how get behind the Saints D and break away for a 53 yard td pass. 19-14 Saints.

Saints would come right back and try to answer before halftime. Rookie WR Tucker would grab a 12 yard pass for an easy td and a great throw by Brees. 26-14 Saints.

After half the Saints would get the ball back and being their dive, but would be forced to punt. After both teams traded punts and then Saints D getting their 3rd pick of the day, Brees would palyaction to Henderson for a amazing 58 yard td pass and a 33-14 lead.

The 4th quarter would see some crazy things and a crazy game.

Packers would get back on the board with a Finley 9 yard td pass from Rodgers. 33-21.

Saints would recover the onsides kick and knew they needed one more score to put this one away, that would turn out to be very true today. On a 3rd down Armi would make a great catch and break away for the 1st down. 2 plays later rookie WR Tucker would make 2 back to back amazing plays. On the first the Packer CB would block the ball but Tucker would catch it, break 2 tackles, and spin to the 2 yard line. Very next play Brees throws a perfect fade to the big bodied Tucker who made a perfect catch for the 40-21 lead.

Packers would use 2 back to back onsides recoveries, a few lob passes to their hb and other wrs, and just some amazing throws/catches/break tackles to make it very close at 35-40. Packers would get the last onside kick of the game, but the Packers would simply run out of time on the game.

Safety, 4 ints, 33% 3rd down percentage, and holding a very good O to a pretty low game, until late. Saints rookies also played amazing today across the board. This is a much better class than last years very down rookie class.

Saints Battle Bucs In NFCS Showdown - Hang On For Victory
New Orleans, LA- Savage Mason Reporting

Saints have struggled, to say the least, in every game this season. A tight game with the packers, then getting beat up by the Giants running backs, then a total flop verses the Falcons have left the Saints and their management frustrated and looking for answers.

In come the Bucs who are red hot and battling the Falcons for the NFCS title. Let's take a look at this Saints vs Bucs showdown:

Saints would lose the toss and receive the ball first. Brees would get the drive going as the Saints are going back to their old school roots on Defense and Offense. Something to get things kick started, because they are simply struggling too much. Brees would get hit though on a pass attempt with the nano blitzing (not on purpose or anything cheesy, just simply was 1/2 a second to do anything and would be sacked with no time to hit a button). Watson would pick off Brees and take it back 31 yards for the pick 6. Bucs 7-0.

Saints would come right back and Brees wouldn't be held back. Brees hits rookie WR Tucker on a 38 yard streak to kill the Bucs zone for the quick answer to the pick 6 from Brees. 7-7 tie.

Bucs would come right back and get back on the board with a Barth 36 yard fg. 10-7 Bucs.

2nd half would be all Saints as the old school tips that the Saints have gotten away from both on offense and defense. Hartley would get the Saints back on the board with a 21 yard fg to tie the game. 10-10 tie.

Bucs would get bitten by the hit/sack/int/pick 6 monster themselves as on the next drive Ellis would pick off a pass and take it back for 21 yards for the pick 6. Saints 17-10.

Harley would tack on a 50 yard fg as time expired in the 1st half for a 20-10 Saints lead.

Barth would get the bucs rolling on their come back attempt with a 51 yard fg to make it 13-20 Saints.

2 drives later Bush would break off the right side and take it 41 yards for the long td run to extend the Saints lead 27-13.

The 4th quarter would begin and things would get hairy for the struggling Saints. Addai, LSU native, would take it in from 9 yards out to make the score 20-27 Saints.

Saints would get the all back with over 3 minutes to go and needing to pick up a few first downs and run this clock out. With over 45 seconds to go and no time outs Saints run it one last time and Bush would just walk through for the easy td, which the Bucs would take offense too because it wasn't necessarily needed. Saints 34-20.

Bucs would get the ball and Coach nate would be caught sending a txt saying 'gg'. Ast. Coaches would call a short zone and the Bucs Meachem would burn the Saints for a last second td to make it 34-27 Saints.

Great game Shiftee. Sorry I pissed you off. It's whatever. I've had it done to me and I meant no disrespect. See ya later in the year.

Player of the game:

WR Devery Henderson
Henderson, one of the premier WRs in the OMFL just 3 short seasons ago; had a flash back to his old ways this game. Look for more of these kind of stats from him this year: 8 receptions for 111 yards. Saints are going back to putting the ball in the hands of their play makers and getting away from slowing the game down. Look for Brees to make some plays, and some mistakes, and the Saints defense to get back to their roots.

Saints Take Down Mighty Falcons - Topple Another NFCS PowerNew Orleans, LA- Savage Mason Reporting

Just two short weeks ago the Saints season looked to be in the can. Losing some key players on defense, a defense already ranked at the bottom, a offense struggling to find an identity, and a mighty falcons team who stomped all over the Saints in Atlanta. Saints take out the Bucs after going back to the drawing board, but in come those same hard to stop falcons for their 2nd match up in just 3 weeks.

Here's a look at how these two teams matched up:

Saints would lose the toss and the Falcons would defer. Saints would get a nice drive going, but the very fast and blitz heavy Bucs would force a punt. The Bucs would take no time at all to get on the board marching it right down the field on an 80 yard drive which was capped off by rookie sensation Boates from 14 yards out. 7-0 Falcons.
Saints would come back and go back to what helped win the game last week. A heavy dose of Brees with Bush busting up some great runs. The drive would again stall though as the Saints had a hard time containing the best 2 de's that Coach Nate has ever seen. "Ive never seen an owner who can control his DE's like this cat can.". Hartley would get a 34 yarder to make it 7-3 Falcons.
The Falcons have a deadly combo of Ryan, Boates, Blake, and Talbert. These are some of the best at their position in the OMFL, and make the Falcons a team that you just hold on and hope the scoring stops with you still winning. Falcons would go right back at it with Ryan hitting Blake for a 37 yard td to go up 14-3 and looked to be cruising to another easy victory over the Saints.
Saints would battle back and eat up the clock with a long drive. This one would be capped off by a Bush 8 yard td run to make it 14-10 Falcons.
After getting the ball back the Saints would try to strike quick and take the lead. Brees would find Henderson with 1-1 coverage and no safety help for the long 64 yard td play. 17-14 Saints.
Falcons wouldn't take it lightly though as they would be forced to punt, but would hit Brees as he threw and pick him off to turn around and get 3 easy points to tie the game at 17 at halftime.
Costly mistakes like this have bitten the Saints all year long.
Saints would force a punt by the Falcons and get to work again. This time Bush would punch it in from 2 yards out after some key first downs were picked up. Bad news was the Saints would lose rookie WR Tucker for several weeks with a broken thumb. Saints would actually lose several key players, Tucker, Brown, and their FB for a lot of the game. 24-17 Saints.
Saints would get an int of their own and this time Brees would find Lawrence, who took Tuckers place, for a 55 yard td pass. 31-17 Saints.
Falcons would get back to work and Ryan would begin to carve up the Saints Zone defense for some big plays. Jones would get behind for a 31 yard td as the Falcons pull closer 24-31, Saints.
The 4th quarter would see the Saints put it away with good defense and a Greene 1 yard td run and a Hartley 52 yard fg to make the final score 41-24 Saints.

Great game Obisian. You're team is, imo, only comparable to the Jags of a few seasons ago. You're fast, good play calling, and just know how to make plays with your guys. One of the most frustrating teams to face, and I am glad I don't have too any more. GL the rest of the way.

Player of the game:

QB Drew Brees
19/28 for 352 and 2 tds, it's been several seasons since the OMFL has seen stats like that from QB Drew Brees. Brees is going back to some roots with the Saints as the play calling has increased, the pass attempts have went up, and the Saints are allowing their star to find his targets and have fun again. If Brees can stay healthy, keep away from the hit/lob/ints, and the Saints can keep finding the right combo - big things may finally come out of the Big Easy this year.

Saints Survive Broncos Defense - Improve to 4-2
New Orleans, LA - Savage Mason Reporting

After taking out the two NFCS leaders in consecutive weeks, the Saints now have to face the Broncos. Broncos are a much better team than their record shows, and the Saints have a whole new respect for their team after this Monday Nighter.

Here's a look at how these two teams matched up:

Saints would win the toss and elect to defer. After a back and forth 1st quarter of both defenses making plays. Hartley would turn a turnover into 3 points with a 31 yard fg to put saints up 3-0.

Saints would take a great punt return from bush, but would move it no where. Hartley would get a 57 yard fg to put the saints up 6-0.

Saints would try and score right before half. Henderson would streak past the cb with 1 on 1 coverage and henderson would make an amazing catch with the cb all over him. 13-0 SAints.

3rd quarter would totally belong to the Broncos as they would pick off Brees 2 times and force 2 bush fumbles. Prater would get a 57 yard fg to get the Broncos on the board. 13-3 Saints.

Moreno would tighten the score with a 1 yard td run after a great pass and catch the play before. 10-13 saints.

Hartley would end the scorin with a 39 yard fg with 4:43 left in the game.

Broncos would drive but the Saints would force a punt. Saints knew they needed a td to put this game away. With a 3rd and 1 and under 2 mins they decided to pass to catch the Broncos very good and fast D off guard. Pass was incomplete and Hartley promptly misses a 57 yard fg, his first of the year. Broncos take over and attempt a great drive. Saints would force them to run out of time inside the 30 yard line.

Saints hold on for the win after a scare late.

Great game @Coach_III - you're team is very very good and they make tons of plays. I felt like I made MOST of the right reads and passes and yet your guys still made plays. Thanks for getting it in early and working with me. I really appreciate that.

Player of the game:
WR Devery Henderson

10 catches for over 100 yards and a td. He made one of the greatest catches all year for the saints only td. Henderson and Brees have reconnected their old connection from yester years. This will be what it takes to bring the Saints back to the promise land.

Saints Survive Another Tough Road Game - Beat Chiefs Late
Arrowhead, KC - Savage Mason Reporting

After a tough game at home vs Denver, a long bye week, and a horrible sub game late in the week, the Saints were just wanting to get back in the grove of playing football again. The schedule sent them to KC to take on the red hot Chiefs and long time OMFL Coach, Blue.

Here's a look at how these two teams matched up:

Sorry, but I am just out of time to write something great. Both teams went back and forth today. Saints were able to score late in the 2nd quarter on a 4th and 1 to take the lead late. Tucker made and amazing play to extend the lead, but then here came the chiefs. Hatchie would, what we thought, put the game away with a long pick six. Mccluster would score on an amazing play and then the chiefs would stop the saints on 3 straight passing plays which took a whole 10 seconds off the clock. Chiefs would get super close to winning this game, but the saints just were able to squeeze them out of time and win the game.

Great game @Bluebean - great game my friend. Back and forth with both team making a few plays to keep both teams in it. I thought for sure I was going to lose it when you stopped me on 3 plays and got the ball back with time. Great game.

Player of the game:
CB Patrick Robinson

Robinson finished with 5 tackles and 1 int, but the 3rd year cb from Florida State had several key knock downs late in the game to keep the chiefs out of the scoring area. Saints had another tough game, but the D will being to get healthier next week and if Robinson and staff can hold down the fort for other key D players, the team should be ok.
