    Norman, Oklahoma--

The Sooners took to the field to face the Boston College Eagles, and did not let the sell out crimson and cream faithful down. The first drive of the game was going as planned with Landry Jones connecting with his dynamic Wide outs for small chunks of yards, and then Broyles was hit over the middle and had some room, after a near 20 yard game he was stripped and the eagles were in business. The eagles marched it down the field with no hesitation mixing up draws to the back up rb, harris is out for 3 weeks, and crossing routes utilizing the tight end. The Shinske hit doug fluties nephew billy flutie on a deep rope to the one yard line, the eagles punched it in.

The sooners took the field hoping for a quick turn around but drive and drive failed, the rest of the 1st was a defensive stale mate. Early in the second quarter the sooners caught lightning in a bottle when a great post corner route was put on the money to sophomore Cameron Kenney who scampered to the end zone from 60 yards out. a pair a late field goals in the quarter tied the game at the break.

The 2nd half was all sooners, it took a while for any scores but Jones eventually got the offense going utilzing all of his targets and eventually hitting Dejuan Miller for the score, giving the Sooners a late lead.

From there it would be the miscues of the Boston College offense, on the last play of the third quarter Defensive back Greg Lynn picked off an across body throw and had no one in front of him taking it half the field in for a score. In the fourth the sooners caused a fumble and a eventual pick up by DB flemming who again scored for the OU defense.

The player of the game had to be OLB Travis Lewis who had 10 TKLS, 4 TFL, 2 FF and a number of passes defended. Boston College was out manned and executed a gameplan that could beat anyone, just too many miscues and misfortune, I would not sleep on the Eagles in the ACC nor the rest of the season under Cubilla's control.

The Air Force offense could not take flight this afternoon, the hold up... The OU defense. They were the ones flying to the ball, and making a ton of plays.

The Sooner offense who again struggled in the beginning caught fire and did not look back. After the sensational Ryan Broyles caught a deep post route the blow out was on. Landry Jones was on point from there out, Connecting with Freshman Jazz Reynolds, and Broyles again to round out the half. AF eventually scored after Backup Hilliard OH product Connor Dietz connected with FB Jermey Tew for a score.

OU gave the ball to Murray much more in the second half, and chewed the clock up. Meanwhile Jones continued to impress, getting red zone looks and eventual scores from Murray, and back up running back Calhoun. Jones would eventually sit down with significant time in the fourth and Drew Allen took over, who simply handed the ball off and watched the clock.

The defense was attacking the ball from all angles, throwing a number of blitzes at the triple option offense. The Sooner speed proved the be too much for the over matched Falcons. The Air Force offense did end moving the ball vs the 2nd defense, but still were out gained in every aspect. The odd thing was there were no turnover in the game although Air Forve fumbled 6 times.

Landry Jones went 23-36 for 344 yards and 3 TD's and Broyles had 9 receptions 128 Yrds and 2 scores. Miller was 1 yrd short of 100 yards rec, and Demarco Murray topped 100 yards for the first time this season. The OU offense gets the game ball. The Sooners are off next week and look to hit the recruiting trail hard before a show down in the the red river rivalry with national implications against Texas in two weeks.

BC was hanging on by it's fingernails all game, it was just a matter of time. Coach Kingspring and OU were never in a peril. Travis Lewis was definitely player of the game. Most impressive was his perfect read and stuff of a crucial and third and short play early in the fourth quarter, forcing BC to punt. Great play by Lewis, great coaching by Kingspring.
