As new coach of the Oklahoma Sooners, my first game came against Texas Tech in Lubbock. The game started as a classic Big 12 shootout, with TTU opening with a long drive for a FG followed by Bradford leading the team on a 70 yard TD drive in 4 plays. The teams then exchanged TD's and then the TTU wheels fell off on offense. The Oklahoma defense started making tackles on the receivers catching the ball short and were also able to harrass the QB into bad throws. Bradford continued to be on fire throughout the 2nd and 3rd quarters, and finished with over 400 yards and 5 TD's. Gresham was the big weapon in the passing game, finishing with over 160 yards receiving, but every receiver helped out. The running game took over in the late 3rd, grinding out the clock, assisted by timely 3rd down passes from Bradford.

The 2nd stringers finished out the snoozer, with Oklahoma winning 63-23.

The Oklahoma Sooners wrapped up their regular season with a big rivalry win vs Oklahoma State 56-21. The game started as many would expect, with the two high powered offenses trading early TD's. However, the 2nd drive for the Cowboys would start the downfall. Oklahoma States next 3 drives were ended by 2 INT's in Ok St territory and a 3 and out. Sam Bradford led the Sooners on TD drives on each successive possession, ending the half up 35-7. From there, the 2nd half was largely wrap up duty and running the ball.

The Sooners are looking forward to the chance to avenge their sole Big 12 loss of the season, with their likely opponent in the Big 12 title game being the Nebraska Cornhuskers.

    Big 12 title game

Oklahoma defense dominates Huskers en route to Big 12 Crown 59-7

This game was over by halftime, with the Sooners up 35-0. The story of the game was the Oklahoma defense which stifled the Nebraska offense all game. They pitched a shutout through the 3rd quarter and at halftime had held the Huskers to 2 first downs and 50 yards of offense. Nebraska didn't cross the 50 until late in the 3rd quarter, and by that point the Sooner 2nd string was in.

Bradford/Gresham have record setting days as Sooners win Fiesta 56-14
In what was probably their last game in Oklahoma uni's, Bradford and Gresham made them count. Bradford set a record for single season passing for the Sooners and Gresham had 220 yards receiving and 5 TD catches, both Oklahoma records. The defense dominated again and made it an easy win over the overmatched Big East champ Cincinatti.
