Boomer Sooners 2010+
OU: 27 TCU: 10
This was a huge win for the Sooner, especially against a very tough and higher ranked TCU squad. The offense never got going but didnt turn the ball over and the ST created some momentum by returning the second half KO 99 yards to open up a 17-3 lead.
the Sooner Defense was all over the TCU QB all day, racking up 9 sacks, including 3 apiece from DTs Adrian Taylor and McFarland.
FSU: 41 OU: 19
The Seminoles destroyed the Sooners 41 to 19, leaving both teams at 1-1. Coach Pepper did a great job mixing up the playbook for various big plays and RB Jermaine Thomas just murdered the Sooner defense.
QB Landry Jones continued his erratic play with 13/25 for 118 yards and 4 ints. DeMarco Murray had 18 carries for 153 and 1 td.
Congrats to Coach Pepper and look forward to a rematch next season.
Oklahoma: 45 KSU: 0
The Sooner got back on the winning track with a crushing win over the hated Wildcats. QB Landry Jones had a good day, going 15/24 with 206 yards and 2 tds and no ints. RB Jermie Calhoun filled in for the injured Murray and ran 29 times for 185 yards and 3 tds.
OU: 24 Clemson: 17 OT
This game was as close as they come. Coach Shino and the Tigers played a very tough defensive ball control game and deserve major kudos. In fact Coach Shino was winning the first game 13-7 with 2 minutes to go in the first half when it disconnected. Then we replayed.
QB Landry Jones had another rough game with 8/18 for 123 yards and 2 ints. DeMarco Murray went down with an injury and Jermie Calhoun had a great game with 15 carries for 107 yards and 3 tds, including the game winner and a 75 yard scamper.
My FS Carter had 7 tackles, 1 tfl and 2 ints and DT Anthony McFarland had 8 tackles, 3 tfl and 1 sack.
The game deseves to be rematched next year and I look forward to playing a class act and great player in Coach Shino.
The Sooner survived a major scare as TTU poured out 38 points with a devastating air attack against the Sooners, who ground out a huge win behind DeMarco Murray's 217 yards and 2 tds. QB Landry Jones had a horrible day, completing 9/17 for 158 yards and 2 tds, but threw 4 ints that put TTU in excelllant field position. One pick was returned for 6 as Landry flopped the ball into the arms of a TTU defensder as he was being sacked.
RB DeMarco Murray carried the ball 41 times for 217 yards and 1 td. He also added 2 receptions for 39 yards and 1 td as well, earning him a potential POTW vote.
The Sooners defense could not get pressure on QB Potts and paid for it. SS Sam Proctor had 9 tackles and 1 tfl, but the play of the game was an electrifying int by Soph. CB DeMontre Hurst that he picked in the EZ and returned 108 yards for a td.
Sooners Improve to 5-1
Norman is buzzing following a 43-10 win over Iowa State.
Sooners take Kansas to school 66-7.
OU: 31 Colorado: 16
The Sooner lose starting QB Landry Jones for 7 weeks and essentially the season in this game. Jones went 11/14 for 140 yards and 2 tds before suffering an injury. Backup Drew Allen better be ready!

Texas:23 OU: 10

Great game Slick and looking forward to the rematch.
OU: 42 Nebraska: 14
QB Landry Jones had his best collegiate day under Coach Twist as he went 25/31 for 390 yards and 4 tds, The Huskers decided to shut down the Sooners rushing attack and held Murray to only 73 yards and 2 short TDs.
The big news was the receiving corp who was led by AA Ryan Broyles, who had 7 catches for 139 yards. WR Brandon Caleb had 4 catches for 102 yards and a td and TE Trent Ratterree had 7 catches for 98 yards and 2 tds.
OU: 52 Missouri: 21

OU: 38 Houston: 45
Great game with little defense as the Cougars upset the Sooners 45-38. Casey Keenum killed the Sooner D but QB Drew Allen showed real promise as he went 14/20 for 306 yards and 1 td and 1 int. The RB combo od Murray and Calhoun combined for 42 carries for 200 yards and 4 tds, but the D could not make the big stops.
Great job Drew, I am looking forward to a rematch with USC.
OU: 7 Texas: 23 B12 CCG
Very close game as the D's shut each other down except the 96 yard run by Fozzy to seal the game. Allen showed his inerperience and went 14/26 for 147 yards and 3 ints. Murray was contained for the most part with only 62 yards rushing and 1 td.
OU: 35 Arkansas: 14
Jones did not make it back for the Bowl game but Allen led the charge with 14/27 and 147 yards and a td. Murray ended his college career with 30 carries for 150 yards and 2 tds.
Here is the stat sheet. I pulled my starters except my FB early in the 3rd quarter and RB Brennan Clay went nuts and rushed for 120 yards on 19 carries and a td. Calhoun rushed for 158 yards and 2 tds on 27 carries.
The best way to describe the defense of UC was they were very strong out of the first quarter. Counters, pitches, inside runs were stuffed and their LBs had springs in their legs but they were wore down and by the end of the third quarter, they were diving and missing and huge chunks of yards followed. Their DTs were very disuptive as well.
Basically you have to weather the storm and keep pounding them.
The CPU QB play was noit very good imho. Or my DL was just too much for them. McFarland had a field day and was in the backfield much of the afternoon.
OU: 45 UCLA: 17
The Sooners started the game by throwing the ball against the Bruins but a lil voice in Coach Twist said to "Run, Forrest Run!' and so they did. Landry Jones only went 6/9 for 68 yards and 1 int, but Jermie Calhoun had 28 carries for 255 yards and 4 tds. Backup RB Brennan Clay had 4 carries for 86 yards and 2 tds.
LB Travis Wort had 10 tackles, 1 tfl and 1 int. "Coach Perry will rework this roster and the Bruins will be in the title hunt very soon!" said Coach Twist in a PC.
OU: 44 LSU: 14
The Sooners used a balanced attack to smash the Tigers into submission. QB Landry Jones went 18/26 for 245 yards and 2 tds and 1 int. He also had a 2 yd TD rush. HB Jermie Calhoun had 24 rushes for 194 yards and no tds.
TE Tim Ratterree had 7 catches for 98 yards and 1 td and AA WR Ryan Broyles had 4 catches for 70 yards and 1 td.
The D was led by MLB Tom Wort with 7 tackles and 1 tfl.
OU: 20 Neb: 23
Awesome and very close gane with Redhead! Jones had a terrible day, going 9/16 and 102 yards and 1 int. RB Jermie Calhoun had a stellar day, rushing 24 times for 160 yards and catching 5 passes for 47. Brennan Clay made 2 big td runs and added 64 yards on 4 carries.
Looking forward to a rematch next season!

Calhoun rushed 31 times for 168 and a td and WR Ryan Broyles added 5 catches for 161 and 2 tds.
Texas: 24 OU: 14
Coach Slick had the Whaley express running in high gear and he tore through the Sooner defense for chunks of yards. Again Landry Jones chokes under pressure and throws a crucial int while driving to tie the score. He went 11/16 for 145 and 1 int.
Jermie Calhoun rushed 23 times for 122 and 1 td.
Great game as always Slick.
