Jünter is pumped up for Season 11's kick off! COACH BRONC SIGNS WITH BORUSSIA MONCHENGLADBACH Borussia Monchengladbach announced Coach Bronc as their new coach over the weekend. Coach Bronc comes over from an Anzhi team that nearly missed out on silverware last season, as the Russian club finished 2nd in Serie A and bowed out in the Semifinals of the Coppa Tradizione. After a year in France and three in Russia, Coach Bronc was ecstatic to come back to Germany to continue his managerial career, noting that his biggest successes came during his tenure with Hamburger SV and Werder Bremen. However, with expectations riding high in Monchengladbach, Coach Bronc was quick to temper those expectations as he mentioned, "I fully believe this team has the potential to match the success I've enjoyed in the past, but it won't be something that comes overnight. We'll need to work hard as a team, and we'll have to all get used to the new regulations the league will use. There will certainly be some growing pains along the way, but in the long run, I know this club will be able to compete alongside the best in Serie A." Season 11 could begin as soon as Wednesday, and the season schedule is expected to be announced shortly.
Gladbach are on my short list of teams to draft. This is excellent content! Will definitely be using this as an example for the TFL!
Coach Bronc departs Monchengladbach after one season Coach Bronc Bids Farewell To Monchengladbach After One Season After just one season that mostly failed to live up to expectations, Coach Bronc officially announced that he will not be returning with Borussia Monchengladbach next season. "It's a great club here and there is plenty of talent on the pitch," said Bronc, "but obviously the fit just wasn't quite right." Monchengladbach failed to win a match until Matchday 10 as the club found itself battling relegation as the season went on. With an uptick in play over the second half of the season, the club managed to get out of the relegation zone, but still had plenty of bumps in the road along the way. The club's best wins were certainly the 1-0 result over CSKA Moscow and the 3-1 victory over West Ham, but those two wins alone accounted for half of the team's total of four. In the Coppa, Monchengladbach advanced from Group A with a pair of draws, but a matchup against CSKA Moscow in the Round of 16 was too much to overcome. Coach Bronc's next position is still up in the air as many clubs are still in the running for his services, but Borussia Monchengladbach's vacancy was quickly filled by the club's former manager, Cimmy24. Coach Bronc commented on the hiring by saying, "Cimmy is already familiar with this club and I fully expect him to lead this team on a successful run while he's here. I recall Monchengladbach knocking out the Coppa King Zikry back in Season 5 under his management, and it would surprise me not to see similar positive results this upcoming season from him."
