In a battle of 1-1 teams UConn packed their bags for a road trip to Boston College and a duel with the Eagles. It started off with a trade of punts and no scoring in the first quarter. However just as drawn up for the Huskies, Quarterback Jonny McEntee, led his team straight down the field on their third drive of the game and finding his favorite target TE Ryan Griffin for the score from 13 yards out. It was the Eagles who would take the monentum from there and run with it getting the next 4 scores in the game, including 3 touchdowns passes from an improved Chase Rettig to 3 different receivers. Those score put the home team up big 24-7. The huskies weren't ready to lay down just yet though, as McEntee hit Shakim Phillips for the 21 yard TD completion and pulling within 10 points. However, Boston College answered right back when RB Rolandan Finch found the endzone on a 1 yard score. The scoring play was set up by a 39 yard completion to WR Spiffy "Speedy" Evans who was stopped at the 1 yard line. UConn was able to muster together one more score to close out the scoring and the game giving the Eagles the 31-21 victory. All around a well played game, with both teams showing an ability to maintain balance. Boston College is now excited for their season after 2 big wins and a winnable game at home against Syracuse up next. For the Huskies from Connecticut they look to bounce back after 2 tough losses, against their toughest opponent to date, a road game against #7 Alabama.
