After a long 48 hours of negotiations with many teams the Saints accomplished what they set out to do. New Orleans acquired Shane Vereen from New York for a third round draft pick late Thursday night. Vereen will be the feature passing, and third down back, and will serve well with thumper Mark Ingram. The bourbon street gazette also rumored the Saints to be in the market for a WR late thursday night, and has some rumors flaring but no deals got accomplished. Late Monday morning the Saints agreed to a deal sending long time Saint Marques Colston and a 2nd round draft pick to San Francisco to acquire Talented WR Torrey Smith. Smith will line up opposite of Cooks, and what was the number two ranked passing attack last year, should now become one opposing defenses lose sleep over. The Saints will look to improve defense in the draft, but be on the lookout for the saints drafting another offensive weapon on Sunday night.

    SAINTS HAVING HUGE OFFSEASON
After making trades for WR Torrey Smith, and HB Shane Vereen the Saints have made a huge splash in free agency.
GM Happy Gilmore says "We wanted to give Bree's one more serious chance to win a Super Bowl, and we knew our rebuilding process would have to be quick." Gilmore also went on to say "When we traded Graham two years ago the public thought they were in for a long process. After going 9-7 an adding what we added the process is almost complete."
The Saints signed three huge additions Sunday morning, and one Saturday night.
The first big sign was WR Mohamed Sanu. Sanu came over on a 4 year $18.00M contract. Sanu will be featured in the Saints potent passing offense, and as of right now is atop the Saints depth chart as the #1 WR, with Smith as the 2, and Cooks looking to play the slot. Sanu looks to replace Colston as the big physical outside WR, and will mesh perfect with all the speed at the position.

Saint also signed DT Michael Brockers. As the Saints biggest offseason acquisition Brockers will move right into the number one DT spot in now what looks to be a talented defensive line which will feature ends Akiem Hicks, and Cameron Jordan. Playing along side big John Jenkins in the Saints 4-3 scheme the Saints look to add a huge piece to their D-Line. Brockers signed for 4 years $35M.

The Saints were not done Sunday, as they also brought in CB Jeremy Lane, who will immediately slide into one of the top two CB positions
on the depth chart. Lane will help pad a weak secondary, as the Saints look to grab one more CB Sunday night in the draft. Lane was a quiet acquisition, but Gilmore says "Lane was the most important piece we added this offseason. He will be the anchor of our secondary, and with our offense we expect to be thrown on a lot this season." Lane signed for 4years 20M.

Saints also signed LOLB Dekoda Watson. Watson will see some time at the OLB position, as the Saints add depth to the position.

FINAL PUSH FOR SEASON SAINTS SCORE IN DRAFT
Finishing up the offseason Sunday Night the New Orleans Saints signed their last free agent, and finished with the missing piece at #19 in the draft.
The Saints drafted their starting CB Sunday in round 1. CB Jonathan Lowe out of Florida was the missing piece the Saints were trying to acquire at #19. The 6'0" physical corner will look to bolster the outside, and shut down opposing offenses number one weapon. Screen Shot 2015-10-26 at 6.59.46 PM.png
Saints also signed starting OLB Ashlee Palmer Sunday night to a one year contract. The 30 year old will come in as the Saints starting LOLB, and will look to impress.

The Saints open up the Season with heated division rival Carolina who went 2-0 vs the Saints last year, and lost in the NFC Championship game.
