Well I'm glad I'm not playing UTEP in the New Orleans Bowl for a 3rd year in a row... but the Little Caesars Pizza Bowl is just embarrasing [IMG]

We do it big at the Little Caesars Bowl; all day, every day

ULL Completely Out-Classes Temple Winning 69-14

This got ugly quickly. Temple scored first after ULL forced a fumble following a completion only to have another Temple reciever pick up said fumble and take it in for the score. ULL then reeled off 5 straight TDs; 4 being to WR Todd Britton (63 yds, 14 yds, 46 yds, 78 yds) with Lou Myers running another in after a 13 yard scamper. I had to quit throwing to Britton as no one on Temples secondary was able to cover him. ULL went into half time up 38-14. ULL came back out in the second half and Coach Snoopy opted to play his SRs in crucial spots such as LB and QB. Titus Cox accounted for 2 TDs in the 3rd; One a 50 yd pass the other a 51 yard run. 3rd string Running back Williamson accounted for the other 3rd qtr score. Lou Myers picked up another TD beginning of the 4th in what became a breakout game for the sophmore. ULL kneeled the ball the majority of the 4th qtr. Temple did not score in the second half

    Players of the Game
ULL QB Josh Wright 15-23 383 yds 5 TDs 1 INT
ULL HB Lou Myers 15 carries for 198 yds 13.2 avg 2 TDs
ULL WR Todd Britton 7 receptions for 212 yards 4 TDs

    Stat of the Game
    ULL 695 offensive yards to Temple's 170

Kent State rallies to win the Armed Forces bowl in a dogfight against Boise State.

Boise State led most of the game as Kent State continued to shoot itself in the foot. With 3 turnovers and a ton of penalties, the Golden Flashes found themselves in trouble. They would finally fight back to tie the game with 2 minutes left, but couldn't hold the Broncos powerful offense as Boise would reclaim the lead with a field goal with just 36 seconds remaining. However, with 2 timeouts, that was just enough time for the Golden Flashes as they fired down the field ending in a 23 yard touchdown pass from Charlie Denman to R.J. Weeks to win it with 2 seconds left.

I was hurrying to get this in cuz I really needed to get back to work. Unfortunately it led to sloppy play and almost ended in my downfall. Luckily Gerald Johnson stepped up one last time in a final farewell to Kent State. He caught 7 passes for 142 yds and 2 TDs. He will be missed. My #1 WR, SR Tim King had 90 yds and 1 TD in his final game in a Kent State uniform.

My theory is that to go pro a player has to be 80 OVR or above. My RB that won the Doak and finished 5th on the Heisman ballot is a 79 OVR (RS)Sophomore so it should be interesting to see if either bolt.

    #16 Army Finishes Strong
    [IMG]
The Army Black Knights finished their year on a high note. They flexed their C-USA muscle and showed the SEC who the truly dominant conference was. The turning point of this game was after forcing an interception Army marched it down the field. They got to a first and goal inside the 10 and inched toward the goal line but came up short on a 3rd and 2 attempt. Instead of electing for 3 Army punched it in on a 4th and less than 1 to pop Ole Miss in the mouth and set the tone the rest of the game. From there on out Army really had no trouble moving the ball on the ground. Since starter Larry Clark was out with an injury, Sr HB Stephen Petty stole the spotlight and carried Army in his final game as a Black Knight. Stephen carried the ball 30 times for 148 yds and 1TD on the day. The Army defense force 2 fumbles (recovering 1) and intercepted Ole Miss once on their opening drive which lead to the 1 yd score. Army finishes the year with a 10-3 mark and a 5-3 conference mark setting them as the #2 team in the C-USA behind an undefeated WMU squad who was snubbed from the National Championship game. Army graduates some key players this season and doesn't full know what to expect going into next year. Hopefully some of the depth the Knights have built can step up and fill some big shoes.

Utah State blanks Ohio 35-0 in Little Caeser's Pizza Bowl
    [IMG]

The Utah State Aggies finished a dissapointing season with 8 wins after claiming the Pizza Bowl trophey. Not much to tell about this one; my D-line dominated the Ohio O, and I managed to get 35 points on the board. Brewster finished his career throwing 396 yards and 2 TDs, along with 46 yards rushing and another rushing TD. WR Palmer caught 5 passes for 117 yards and 3 TDs. Player of the Game though goes to freshman FS Hampton, for 2 INTs, 2 FF, and 2 tackles.
