ONCE AGAIN FAU WINS THRILLER IN GODADDY.COM BOWL
In what has been a heart stopping season for the FAU Owls, it should come as no surprise that their bowl game was no different. Down by a score of 28-14 with 5 minutes to go, the Owls had it in them one more time to battle back. They would tie the score at 28-28 with 12 seconds to go and hold Miami for the final few seconds.

FAU got the ball first in OT and came up inches short of converting on third down forcing Coach Weaver to make a very tough decision. He elected to get the points and hope his defense could make one last stop. Miami torched FAU in the air, completing only 10 passes for an astonshing 309 yards. Miami's playbook consisted of nothing but perfectly executed jump balls. In OT however, there would be no such luck as the Owls sacked the quarterback twice setting up a 4th and 27. The final pass fell harmlessly to the ground and once again the Owls showed their true character by coming from behind to win a game that came down to the final snap.

FAU played 6 games that were decided by 3 points or fewer. In those games, FAU was 4-2.

"It was an incredible year for our guys, they battled and fought and here we are in cold and rainy Alabama celebrated such a major bowl win. What the hell is godaddy.com anyway? Anyone? Bueller? Now we sit and wait for the SEC to come calling. We are ready!," said a jubilant and slightly drunk Coach Weaver following the game.

    In other FAU news:
The following players won 1st Team All-Sun Belt honors:
    Kevin Cyrille, Sr, DE
    Jimmy Jean, Jr, DT
    Randell Johnson, So, OLB
    Treon Howard, So, CB
    Marcus Bartels, Sr, FS
    Vinny Zaccario, Jr, K
    Curtis Cross, Sr, Returner

The following players won 2nd Team All-Sun Belt honors:
    David Kooi, Jr, QB
    Marcus Cunningham, Fr, WR
    Paul Moore, Jr, WR
    Yourhighness Morgan, Jr, MLB

Toledo D steps up big in Texas Bowl Win

The Toledo Rockets were #3 in the country in turnover margin entering this game. (this is an amazing stat cuz I throw alot of picks...usually) Northwestern was the number 1 team in that category so this game was going to be a good match-up from the start. The teams traded blows (thats what she said, also what Musberger said) early and it looked as if a FG would win it. Toledo finally found a wrinkle in the wildcat offense when all world WR Eric Page beat zone coverage down the sidelines for an 80 yard TD. The Rockets D would pick off three passes on the day, two of which were in the redzone and the other, was returned for a TD and turned a 13-10 toledo lead with under two minutes to play, into a 20-10 win.

Toledo will be returning their core on offense, including current 90 OVR wr Eric Page for his Senior Season, QB Alex Dantin, 1st Team MAC LE TJ Fatinikun, and 1st Team MAC MLB Dan Molls. The RB position will fall into the hands of David Fluellen, a current Sophmore who Coach Mullen isn't really excited about. Incoming Freshman Kevin Finley will challenge for snaps. The Defensive backfeild takes a huge hit as the top three CB's all graduate, along with the starting FS. Toledo has some incoming recruits but this team will look to throw the ball alot more without the security blanket of SR HB Adonis Thomas, who finished with 1307 yards and 11 tds for the season

    1st Team MAC
    HB A. Thomas
    WR E. Page
    LE T. Fatinikun
    MLB D. Molls
    FS D. Morrow

    2nd Team MAC
    RE M. Riley
    LOLB C. Raincifer
    CB D. Marrow

Recruiting, Toledo has filled all needs but one, at the MLB position. Currently, the #7 TE and ESPN150 recruit Chris Scott has Toledo at the top of his list, with Penn State very close but with offers only from Toledo, Wake Forest and a mystery team. (my guess is goose)
