Maryland wins the 2008 Orange bowl over #6 ranked USC. The first offensive play of the game for USC would see RB Joe McKnight take a nasty hit from LB Antwine Perez and be taking out for the game. However, USC would still take the ball down the field and score on a 42 yard pass. The Terps would answer back with a TD of their own for a 7-7 tie at the end of the first quarter. The 2nd quarter would have SS Jeff Allen pick of QB Mark Sanchez in the endzone and take it back 103 yards for a TD. UMD would add a FG and take a 17-7 lead going into halftime. The 3rd quarter had no action other than another INT pick by Maryland in the endzone. In the 4th quarter USC would fight back with 10 points to tie the game as Maryland could not move the ball at all. But Maryland would make one final drive and kick a game winning FG as time expired to take home the Orange Bowl trophy.

Miami gets by Pitt in the Gator Bowl by the score of 49-35. The game was tied at 35 all going into the fourth quarter, but Miami leaned on sophomore running back Graig Cooper as they had all game, scoring 14 in the quarter! Pitt's McCoy is truly the real deal, as he scored 3 touchdowns of over 60 yards! Here are McCoy and Cooper's stats:

    Cooper: 38 att, 227 yds (5.9 avg), 4 TD, 25 Long // 2 rec, 7 yds (3.5 avg), 6 long
    McCoy: 13 att, 168 yds (13 avg), 2 TD, 82 Long // 6 rec, 83 yds (13.8 avg), 61 long

Miami finishes the season with a 10-3 record and is very much looking forward to next season as many of the young 'Canes should blossom into badass mo-fo's!

Interesting side-note on this game, I held Pitt to ZERO (0) third down conversions. That is a first for me! Aside from the 3 huge McCoy touchdowns, our defense did a great job. Good luck to everyone else in their bowl games!

Well Alabama finished finished the regular season with only two losses, both to the undisputed #1 team in the country. Their key wins were against LSU 11-2 and Virginia Tech 12-2, however both these teams made it into BCS games as at large bids and Alabama was stuck in the Capitol One bowl against Iowa. Needless to say they were disappointed and just took the 7 point bowl win without even trying.
