Striking while the Iron is Hot The once sacred grounds of Soldier Field are moaning today as famed Football Legend Mike Ditka accepts a 3 year off from Indianapolis. Owner Bobby Green brought Mike Ditka in within minutes after the Colts embarrassing loss to the Cincinnati Bengals in the Divisional Round. Iron Mike will be stepping out of the broadcast booth and back into the Hot seat. The Carnegie Pennsylvania native was given $7M each season, and he brings with him a truck load of NFL History. Iron Mike was originally drafted by the Chicago Bears in 1961, and later played with the Eagles and the Cowboys. After winning a Super Bowl with Dallas as a TE in 1972, Ditka would retire. He was immediately added as an assistant coach with the Cowboys where he would win another Super Bowl Ring. After winning that Super Bowl, Ditka would coach in Dallas 4 more seasons before he was hired on as the head coach of Bears. In 1985, Ditka and his Bears dominated the Patriots in the Super Bowl. This would make Iron Mike the only person in NFL History to win a championship as a coach and a player of the same team. Once arriving in Indianapolis, Ditka was greeted by throws of fans. The state of Indiana has been infatuated with his demeanor and personality. A no nonsense, no BS attitude might have allowed the Colts to extend their season. After being asked what he can do to motivate this team more, Ditka stated " The ones who want to achieve and win championships motivate themselves." He would then add, "Effort without talent is a depressing situation... but talent without effort is a tragedy. I see alot of damn talent on this team." Only time will tell if the Colts will actually turn into DAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA COLTS.
