We finished our first season of SH and said good bye to seniors and juniors that left early for the draft. Some of us relied heavily on our play making seniors and juniors while others might have took the opportunity to bring in the youngsters to get some clock.
For those of us who are starting first time players or kids with inexperience, I thought we could use some chatter to get to know those guys.
At the end of the year we can look back to see who did what and became the Most Improved Player or Breakout Performer.

    Freshman (RS) - 76 Overall
Devin Lucien is slated to be the #3/Slot WR this season for the UCLA Bruins. His speed and acceleration will make him brutal to cover on anything from quick slants to bombs down the sidelines. He's bound to make a few spectacular catches this season and should have an exciting career in the PAC-12.

    Zach Mettenberger

    • LSU will start former UGA QB Zach Mettenberger this season. There is no choice, he has to take over and perform or we will be in big trouble. We have a run game and good receivers but we need someone to make those throws that Jordan and Jarrett couldn't make last year. With a 94 THP and 87 THA, we think he possesses all the tools necessary to get the job done.
    Spencer Ware
    [IMG]
    • Although Spencer was the "starting" running back last season, he didn't really put a stamp on the season nor did he have a chance to. We alternated Michael Ford, Alfred Blue and Kenny Hilliard with Spencer and he didn't get a chance to get loose on the defense. He will get that opportunity this year as we are going to try to get him more carries.
    Linebackers
    [IMG]
    • LSU said good bye to Stefan Francois, Karnell Hatcher and Ryan Baker. That's fine, insert Lamin Barrow, Kevin Minter and the freshman Spencer Davis. These guys are going to have to work harder than the previous backers because they're not as talented, yet. They will get there but they don't have the experience.

Let's see some pictures and videos of him ballin' when we get to the season!

I have a freshman corner that is lights out. Can't wait to play with these guys.

    QB #10 - Clint Chelf
The Clint will be the starting QB for the Oklahoma State Cowboys this season, replacing Weeden. Chelf saw some time last year when then Cowboys got up big, but never really showcased his arm. What makes Chelf different from Weeden, is he is more of a threat running the football.
    DE #93 - Jakes Barnes
Freshman DE Jake Barnes will start on the right side for the Cowboys this season. He is coming in as one of the highest rated DEs in the country. Barnes is well known for his quick burst off the ball and block shedding abilities. A technical player that should do wonder for this Ok St defensive line.

Matt is a true freshman 5* recruit this year. Hes going to be our #2 CB and is going to be heavily relied upon to help solidify what was a very porous secondary last season.

Whats his SPD at? It looks like he got way behind the secondary in that 1st catch but seemed to almost get caught at one point.

Nice, that second pass was nice. Great touch on it.

Through 3 games Matt has been up to the task. His performance has been spectacular at times. Granted, his "greenness" has come with some growing pains as expected, but at the same time hes shown some flashes of greatness. His coverage abilities are undeniable.
