    REAGEN PROVES HE BELONGS

You know the saying: one man's trash is another man's treasure? Well, that saying came true during Week 1 of this new NFL season.

Rookie RB Darrian Reagan (pictured above) was cut by the St. Louis Rams during training camp and thought his dream of playing the NFL was over...until the Denver scouting department put in a waiver claim for him a few days later.

Reagen showed out during the last few preseason games and earned a spot in the Denver backfield behind seasoned vet Cedric Benson. The coaching staff was so impressed with the kid that they released longtime starter Willis McGahee to make room for him.

The young buck didn't let his team down on opening day. Reagen - AKA D-Train - looks to be a perfect in Denver's power rushing scheme. He carried the ball 19 times for 224 yards and 2 TDs against the always tough Oakland defense.

Behind the strong running of the rookie, Denver was able to jump out to a 24-0 lead at halftime, which let Brock Osweiler rest his arm and become a game manager once again.

The Wizard didn't throw the ball too often, but when he did, big things happened. He completed 70% of his passes and hooked up with Bey-Bey Thomas for 2 scores. Most importantly, the young gun didn't turn the ball over.

After a down year, the defense seems to finally be clicking again. The swooping secondary game down with 4 INTs, with 2 of them coming in the redzone. Their bend-but-don't-break style spoiled Kurt Warner's return to the NFL.

    Nice recap Drew.

Before anyone chimes in, we have discussed this game result with both owners. If this is not an isolated incident, we will be addressing the glaring concerns which will be evident by the stats in the other week 1 game results that follow.
