    RAIDERS 20
    BRONCOS 13

    Oakland, CA-

Football is finally back, and the Raiders and Broncos showed Sunday, sometimes you just need to knock the dust off. Both teams looked a bit rusty, but the Raiders were able to come up victorious, beating the Broncos 20-13.

The Raiders took an early 10-0 lead, in a first quarter that featured many penalties, especially by the Broncos. Denver's rookie QB Lindsey Clarke's first NFL pass attempt was picked off by CB Keith McGill, which led to an 18 yard TD pass from Derek Carr to TE Nick Kasa.

Then the tide turned. After the Broncos put together a solid drive to bring them to the red zone, Clarke threw his 2nd career interception, this one to LB Sio Moore. The Broncos would get it right back, on a sack-fumble recovery by Demarcus Ware, and Clarke would connect on his own 18 yard TD pass to his TE Cameron Morah.

The Broncos eventually took the lead just before the half, 13-10 after a Derek Carr interception and Matt Prater 50 yard FG. The Raiders were able to hold Denver scoreless in the 2nd half, and Carr hit Rod Streater on a beautiful 58 yard TD pass to take the lead, and hold on 20-13 after tacking on a FG.

    Game Notes:

Clarke had a rough debut, throwing 3 interceptions, and so did fellow rookie, starting HB Amond Curry, who ran for just 37 yards on 15 carries.....Speaking of running, all eyes were on the debut of Raiders HB Doug Martin. Martin did not impress, running 17 times for just 50 yards. Credit the Broncos stout front 7.....newly signed Raiders LB Daren Bates was injured on his first play of the game, tearing his Abdominal and will miss 5 weeks.....
