Raiders vs Broncos This game featured 2 young talented QB’s of contrasting styles in their first season as starters. The Raiders Terelle Pryor looked better early, keeping the Broncos D guessing with a balance of pass and running plays including the read option. On the other hand Broncos QB Brock Osweiler made some mistakes early with a pair of INT’s in the 1st half. The Raiders were able to take advantage and jumped ahead 21-7 with 2 minutes to go in the half. Osweiler started to settle down and engineered an 80 yard TD drive to keep the game from slipping away. Early in the 2nd half, a third Osweiler INT seemed to indicate that maybe this was going to be the Raiders game, however the Broncos D managed to minimize the damage to a FG . Down 24-14, Osweiler put that cannon of an arm to work leading his team to 3 straight scores. The D must’ve been inspired by the O as they kept a Raiders team that was hot in the first half out of the endzone for the 2nd half. It was the classic tale of of two halves. Pryor didn’t even throw any INT’s until late in the 2nd half. The 2nd one came with under 2 minutes to go by Chris Harris to secure the comeback win. TE Julius Thomas QB Osweiler was the player of the game going 17/22 347yds 3TD 3INT’s TE Julius Thomas was the leading receiver with 5 catches for 155 yds. CB Chris Harris was actually injured on his INT at the end of the game, tearing his abdominal muscle. Harris had been playing lights out in the nickel so far this season so the team will greatly miss him for the 4 weeks he will be out. CB Chris Harris Part 2 of this divisional rivalry figures to be another entertaining matchup. Great game Aaron (Hulk_hagen_55). See you in Oakland Wk17.
