The Denver Broncos would finally win their first divisional game in week 13 at home against the Kansas City Chiefs. From the beginning, it was apparent that the outcome of this game would be dictated by the teams defense as both offenses would struggle throughout the day. The first score of the day wouldn't come until early in the 2nd quarter when Kansas City would go up 7-0 on a short 3rd down pass, Russel Wilson to Brandon Marshall. The Chiefs would add a field goal to their lead after quickly getting the ball back, 10-0 heading into the 2 minute warning. The chiefs would again get the ball back inside of the 2 minute warning and attempt to drive for another score, but the Bronco defense finally made a play when CB Artaves Kearse would intercept Wilson and set up his team into the opposition's territory with just under a minute to go in the half. QB Lindsay Clarke would march down the short field and hit TE Julius Thomas for a short TD score with 7 seconds to go, 10-7 Chiefs still up at the half. Late in the 3rd quarter, Denver would put together a drive, eventually culminating with a TD pass on 3rd down, Clarke to WR Emmanuel Sanders for Denver's first lead of the day. The rest of the game was all about defense, as the only score the rest of the way would come from a Matt Prater 50 yard field goal, putting Denver up for good 17-10. Good game lboogie
