    Broncos 32 Chiefs 28

Let the battle for the division begin! Broncos and Chiefs are two talented teams with high aspirations for this season. Knowing how important these divisional matchups are, this was like a playoff game in only week 3 of the season.

This was a tight one and the running game for both teams was on fire, but Jamaal Charles had the best individual effort. Charles had a great day on the ground, most notably he broke a 62 yd run in the 1st half which fired up his team and they played some good ball on both O and D. Game was still close at the half though, as KC led 10-14. Both teams would exchange TD’s, but the Chiefs would hold the lead until in the 4th when some late turnovers turned out to be costly. A lost fumble (forgot who) and a pair of INT’s by rookie QB Jourdan Boisture to MLB Wesley Woodyard allowed Denver to climb into it late as they didn’t waste those critical opportunities to find the end zone to take the lead and the win. It was a tough battle and believe me a lot more happened in this game than I am remembering right now. Denver takes the first of this 2 game regular season matchup, but just barely and the team can’t help but to feel a little lucky to have escaped with a win. Matchup #2 is just two weeks away!
