Oregon State got off to a slow start and fell behind early. Georgia got on the board on their first drive and HB Ed Gallagher punched in a 9 yard TD. Oregon State would drive right down the field on their next possession but would be stopped on a 4th and 1 inside the Georgia 10 yardline. Georgia would add to their lead with a short FG early in the 2nd quarter giving them a 10-0 lead. Oregon State would then get a big special teams play as Bryan Martindale would take the kickoff back 100 yards for a TD, which seemed to give Oregon State alot of momentum as QB Harrison Brothers would throw two 2nd quarter TDs and the Beavers would take a 21-10 lead into the half. Oregon State would get a FG on their first drive of the 3rd quarter and take a 24-10 lead. Georgia would cut that lead in half with a 62 yard bomb to WR Tony Holycross. The Beavers would answer back immediately as they would score on their next offensive play as Brothers found WR Nick Watkins open deep for a 71 yard TD. The Bulldogs would not go away tho as they would get another TD with 33 seconds left in the 3rd quarter on a FB dive from 1 yard out making the score 31-24 going into the 4th quarter. Early in the 4th quarter Nick Watkins would catch his 3rd TD of the game, this one from 28 yards out. The Beavers defense then came up with a stop and forced a punt. Bryan Martindale would put the nail in the coffin late in the 4th with a 13 yard TD making the final score 45-24.

Player of the Game was Beavers QB Harrison Brothers who had a huge game and was almost perfect on the day going 18 for 23 for 416 yards and 4 TDs. WR Nick Watkins also had a big day as he had 6 catches for 213 yards and 3 TDs.

Wow oregon state just bombing 'em out. Nice win man. Tough start to the season for Grav, didn't really do him any favors with two tough customers to start with.
