This was a game in which 2 winlesss teams desperately needed their first win as the 0-5 Falcons came down to Tampa to face the 0-5 Bucs.

Tampa Bay took control of the game early, capitalizing on some Atlanta turnovers. Matt Ryan threw 3 INT’s in the game, one of which were taken back 100yds by rookie CB Tavjio Rogers. When the defense gave the ball to the offense, QB Josh Freeman who’s had a tough year to date, was very efficient with the ball. Freeman threw for 189yds and 2TD’s with a QB rating of 151.1. The most shocking stat was his 0 INT’s!! He really couldn’t do it without the help of the running game, something that has been MIA this season. Blount stepped it up with his first 100yd game and the team ran for 199yds as a team. RB Michael Smith contributed with his lone run of the game that went 88yds for 6.

With the defense playing more consistent and the offense protecting the ball, the Bucs were able to close this one out and got the monkey off their backs with their first win of the season.

Good game Gutcheck64. See ya in ATL.
