Overview: The stakes are high for these two Eastern division rivals in the MAC. While the University of Massechutes is playing for the sake of the chance to play for the MAC championship, the Buffalo Bulls are looking to play the role of spoiler, as they have won 3 of their last 5 games, Including wins over Pittsburgh, Western Michigan, and The university of Miami of Ohio.

    A look at the numbers
    Points Per game:
    Umass: 19.6

    Total offense
    Buffalo: 311.1 YPG
    Umass: 267.7 YPG

    Turnover differential
    Buffalo: -7
    Umass: 6

    Total Defense:
    Buffalo: 300.8 YPG
    Umass: 285.4 YPG

Key to the game for Buffalo: Stopping the passing attack of Umass.
The key to the minutemen offense is Redshirt Junior Quarterback Kellen Pagel, who has thrown for almost 2000 yards and completed approximately 60 percent of his passes, If the Bulls can create a formidable pass rush, It could be a long game for Umass.

Key to the game for Umass: Developing a rushing game:
The rushing attack of the minutemen has been anemic to say the least, as their leading rusher has only 359 yards going into the 12th week of the season. The minutemen have been struggling to open up running lanes which has caused their offense to rely so heavily on the passing game.
