News and happenings around the Buffalo Bills will be posted here
Season 3 Off Season Personnel Changes
Buffalo has made some tough decisions on some key players from last season and are expected to let numerous starters test free agency. Among these players will be HB CJ Spiller (29 YO, 87 OVR) who is coming off a breakthrough season and OLB Nigel Bradham (26 YO, 83 OVR), who played great last season recording 94 tackles, 3 sacks and 1 INT. Word is, Bradham was expecting a big pay day for that performance, asking for upwards of 30M over 5 years.
Other players expected to leave Buffalo;
FS Charles Woodson-36 (86 OVR)
CB Tramon Williams-33 (84 OVR)
TE Scott Chandler-31 (83 OVR)
OLB Keith Rivers-30 (80 OVR)
HB Bryce Brown-25 (80 OVR)
HB Fred Jackson-34 (80 OVR)-RETIRED
WR Mike Williams-29? (81 OVR)-RELEASED
This Bills have had a decent start to their season, especially considering they were coming into it knowing they were rebuilding and thus having low expectations. Here are some notes through 6 weeks.
QB E.J. Manuel is not playing like he wants a new contract. Buffalo may be in the market for a QB this offseason
The AFC East is down again and still winnable. The Patriots and Dolphins sit at 1-5 while the resurgent Jets are at 3-3. The Bills currently lead the division at 3-2 but have a tough schedule ahead
Rookie HB Aleon McClendon has been decent and may have a solid future
Sammy Watkins defenitly needs some help. Manuel has been bad but it hasn't helped that Watkins is his only threat.
The DL is outstanding once again. Even with Dareus gone, the Bills entered week 6 with the #3 defense in TMFL led by Mario Williams, who has 5 sacks.
The Dolphins loss was especially hard. We played this game twice and while the Dolphins played great both games, it felt like one of those that you are just destined to lose, as highlighted by this play
2017 Bills offseason recapIt was a busy offseason in Buffalo following a disappointing 8-8 regular season and spending the playoffs at home. Buffalo made moves to acquire veterans and draft picks alike while re-tooling the offense and building depth on the D. Here's a look at the off-season
Players who were allowed to walk
FB Boobie Dixon-84 OVR
LG Eric Wood-81 OVR
DT Marquess Hull-64 OVR
CB Leodis McKelvin-81 OVR
DT Kyle Williams-84 OVR
Free Agent Acquisitions
It was a good year for getting solid players to commit to playing in Buffalo this year. While Buffalo was far from acquiring all their targets, they did pick up some nice pieces.
HB Adrian Peterson-92 OVR 32 Years
FB Chris Pressley-74 OVR 31 Years
WR Eric Decker-88 OVR 30 Years
WR CJ Branch-70 OVR 23 Years (UDFA)
DE/DT Marek Crisp-82 OVR 23 Years
P Brandon Fields-99 OVR 33 Years
Multiple trades were performed this offseason which brought both veterans and young players alike. Here is a look at who the Bills acquired.
QB Nick Foles-89 OVR 28 Years
2017 1st Round pick (24)
2017 3rd Round Pick
2018 3rd Round Pick
The trade that really got the dominos falling was perhaps the most important. Nick Foles has the potential to be an elite QB in Buffalo for the rest of the file. With a 1st to spare and unwilling to go through the rigors of training a rookie QB, Buffalo gets an established star to lead their team.
DT Tyson Jackson 86 OVR 31 Years
2017 4th Round Pick
2018 4th Round Pick
OT Brandon Fusco-85 OVR 27 Years
QB EJ Manuel-79 OVR 27 Years
The Bills found Manuel expendable with Foles around and sweetened the pot with a hot trade prospect in Fusco. In return, they get a verteran DT to replace Williams and a couple of mid-round picks where most of their scouting took place.
2017 1st round pick 4th overall
SS Aaron Williams-93 OVR 27 Years
2017 1st round pick (16)
The Bills saw Williams as expendable with the great play late last season of 2nd year man Jaelin Dansby. They saw a guy who they expected to be picked at the latest #6 and decided to move up in the draft to get their guy.
2017 5th round pick
2017 5th round pick
2017 6th round pick
2017 4th round pick
2018 4th round pick
The Bills saw lots of guys they liked in the 5-6 round area so they wanted to score a couple extra picks in those rounds. These would come to pay off ten-fold.
2017 NFL Draft
1st round (4)-HB Timario Brackett 81 OVR 20 Years SS DEV
2nd Round (6) (FROM ATL)-DT LaCraig Nunley 78 OVR 21 Years SS DEV
4th Round (16)-CB Earnest Randall 77 OVR 20 Years SS DEV
5th Round (2) C Mat Maggitt 68 OVR 20 Years SS DEV
5th Round (7) DT Spencer Timmons 77 OVR 23 Years FAST DEV
6th Round (7) SS Hansen Cross 71 OVR 22 Years NORM DEV
6th Round (16) LB Ashton Thigpen 72 OVR 24 Years NORM DEV
The Bills are very happy with this draft, hitting on 4 Superstar players and one FAST dev player all of whom can contribute immediately. Even the later picks are very solid and will add great depth
Looking Back at the Dareus trade-1 Year later
The Bills pulled off a very huge and controversial trade last offseason thay saw them ship off All-Pro DT Marcell Dareus, in the prime of his career, to bringbackjimmy and his Denver Broncos. Although it's only been one year, lets look at the details of that trade as we try to determine who came out on top.
DT Marcell Dareus-99 OVR 26 Years (At time of trade)
Dareus was a monster for Denver last year. He recorded 64 tackles, 27 of which were for a loss. He also got to the QB 12 times as he teamed with Von Miller and Terrance Knighton to create the nastiest DL in TMFL. He was also a pro-bowler and I believe AFC DLOY.
2016 1st Round Pick (19 OVR)
This pick turned into DT Bram Griffin (68 OVR, 20 Years, Slow DEV) who may just be one of the biggest draft busts in TMFL to date. Word out of Buffalo is he's fighting for a roster spot this preseason
2016 2nd Round Pick (19 in rnd)
This pick turned into another DT, Mustafa Hurd who had a monster rookie year. He actually ended up with more sacks then Dareus (13) and finished in the top 5 in AFC DROY
2017 1st Round Pick (24 OVR)
This pick turned into the center piece of the deal with Philadelphia for QB Nick Foles
2017 5th Round Pick (24 in rnd)
This pick was dealt to Atlanta in a draft day deal to acquire DT LaCraig Nunley. Nunley is a 78 OVR, 21 year old Superstar DEV rookie
When it was all said and done, the trade played a role or directly influenced these players coming to Buffalo.
DT Bram Griffin (68 OVR, 21 Years)
DT Mustafa Hurd (84 OVR, 25 Years)
QB Nick Foles (89 OVR, 28 Years)
DT LaCraig Nunley (78 OVR, 21 Years)
So, while the trade started out looking bad for Buffalo (publik drunk so kindly pointed this out) it looks like they actually have turned these pieces into quite a haul.
Verdict: Denver still wins the trade at this point in time. However, with the potential these players have, it may not be that way for long.
The Buffalo Bills have come to terms with WR Sammy Watkins on a 5 year/66.5M deal. The contract includes 19M guaranteed.
The deal puts Watkins among the likes of Cordarelle Patterson, Dez Bryant and Julio Jones in terms of highest paid WR (Outside of Alston Jeffrey who has a crazy contract). It also guarantees that Buffalo's biggest star will remain a Bill for the rest of this cycle.
Bills mid-season progress report
We are now a little over midway through the 2018 season and your Buffalo Bills sit at 7-3 and currently in 3rd place in the AFC, and leading the AFC East. The season has seen its highs (Wins over both 2017 AFC Championship participants, Steelers and Raiders) and lows (2 Losses to the Jets by a combined 6 points with a total of 9 INT's screw you publik drunk). Let's take a look at some of the interesting tidbits from this season.
The Bills defense has 28 INT's on the year, good for 2nd in TMFL. This has kept them competitive with a defense ranked 25th overall
QB Nick Foles has been well worth the price paid. He makes the offense very potent, ranking 4th in the NFL in yards and tied for 1st in TD Passes
WR Sammy Watkins has flourished with Foles at QB. He is finally starting to look like the player the Bills hoped he was when giving up 2 1sts to get him. He has over 1,000 yards and 9 TD through 10 games
TE Nick Topa has been the breakout star of the season. He has 611 yards and 6 TD's serving as an excellent security blanket
DE Mario Williams and DT Mustafa Hurd have combined for 13 of the teams 18 sacks, or 72%. The other players in the front 7 have to become more involved in getting to the QB. Teams have been able to focus on these two, causing us to rank in the bottom 5 in sacks this season
SS Jaelin Dansby is going to be a star in this league. He has 5 INT this season and constantly finds himself in the middle of almost every single play.
Rookie CB Earnest Randall was not very highly regarded coming out of Indiana State. The 4th round pick has stepped right into the starting role opposite Gilmore and his emergence coupled with Dansby is a big reason the Bills secondary has been so good.
This thread will be continued by the new regime in Buffalo. Bills news here.

I would call you lazy for piggy backing someone else's work, but you found this from Madden 15
Hahah... I had to scroll down quite a bit in Tapatalk to find this damn thread. Lol it would have been ten times easier just making one.
Good to see someone of value take over this thread as the previous owner was horrible huh hskr8128
After a very down preseason, the Buffalo Bills will be making Sammy Watkins available for trade. The cost will likely be very high, so the chances of him actually moving will vary.
In other news. Tyrod Taylor has shown this preseason that he cannot hit a a bus when throwing. He also will be on the trade block.
The most shocking news however, is that Cordy Glenn week be looking to extend his contact as soon as his reps get to Buffalo.
"We need to start somewhere" One front office staffer told the press. "Who better than Cordy, no chance he leaves with the regime change. Marcel and Stephen on defense will be our building blocks. Hopefully we can time this out right, to where our team hits its stride when the new stadium is finished"
