Stakes were high saturday night as both teams were looking to move up the BIG East standings with a win. That action started off quickly as the Orangemen pounded the ball all the way down the field for an opening drive that was capped off by a three yard TD catch from Addazio.

The bulls would answer that on the very next drive when senior quarterback BJ Daniels found a wide open Evan Landi down the middle for a 26 yard catch of his own. The rest of the half saw a couple of lead changes coming from a Syracuse field goal early in the 2nd quarter and another USF rebuttal with a seven yard TD scamper from Lindsey.

The 2nd half brought much of the same from the first half as Syracuse continued to try and establish the strong running presence behind Smith (21-91 yards) and Gully (5-61-TD) while USF continued with their ability to create the big plays when they needed them including a huge 44 yard run on a keeper from Daniels. In the end, the Bulls proved to have too much balance on offense adding two more touchdowns in the 4th to put away the Orange and move closer towards a BIG East championship. Final score 28-17
