    BYU Season 6 Recruiting Board

    1) :3stars:Robert Medlock|(#TE)
    Career Projection: 2nd year starter
Analysis: Medlock has some solid size to him (6'5" 235 lbs) for a TE, and has great hands for the position also (C catching). He also has C+ speed and C route running ratings. He is not great at blocking, and looks to be more of a receiving TE. He may start as early as next year, but ideally a redshirt and a couple of years as a backup will season him up to be a star at BYU.
    Predicted Rating: 64 OVR

    2) :3stars:J. R. Williams|(#SS)
Career Projection: Will play as a Freshman(RS)
Analysis: Williams is a bit slow for the Safety position, but he has all the assets to be a great LB in our 3-4 scheme. Weather or not he will be in the middle or on the inside depends well he picks up the defensive schemes during his redshirt year. He has great Tackle (B-) and Block Shedding abilities (C-), along with decent zone coverage abilities (C). Coaches are buzzing about this record, he was a steal.
    Predicted Rating: 72 OVR

    3) :3stars:Brent Scott|(#ATH)
    Career Projection: 3rd year starter
Analysis: Brent Scott is an athlete with good size and decent speed, but with an undefined direction at this point. He has decent coverage abilities, but poor tackling technique. He also the ability to break some tackles in the back field, so he could end up anywhere from HB to CB. Time will tell with this kid.
    Predicted Rating: 63 OVR

    4) :3stars:Kasey Mendoza|(#G)
    Career Projection: 1st year starter
Analysis: Mendoza is a 6'4" 280 lbs monster out of Canyon Rim, UT, and will be protecting our future investment at QB. He has decent blocking abilities (C+/C Pass/Run block), and great strength (B/C pass block/run block strength). His run block footwork could use some tuning up (D+), but this kid has all the right attributes to start right away. He will probably receive a redshirt and be expected to play as a freshman.
    Predicted Rating: 72

    5) :3stars:Ryan Charles|(#G)
    Career Projection: 3rd year starter
Analysis: Ryan Charles is another big guy at G we have coming in, but his talent is a bit more raw than Mendoza. He has run/pass block abilities, but his pass block strength and footwork leave a lot to be desired. He will receive a redshirt, and probably spent a couple of seasons on the bench as a backup. Could be a solid contributer in the run game.
    Predicted Rating: 68

    6) :3stars:Justin Fulton|(#WR)
    Career Projection: 1st year starter
Analysis: Justin Fulton is by far the most interesting prospoect so far on this year's recruiting trail. He is a JUCO WR out of Huntington Beach, CA, and has great possesion skills. He has: B- catching, C- spectacular catch/catch-in-traffic, B- carrying, and B+ jumping. His route running could use some improvement, but other than that, he looks like a very solid WR. He will receive a redshirt and start tearing up the MWC the future freshman starting QB.
    Predicted Rating: 78
    [IMG]

    7) :3stars:Alex Moore|(#ATH)
    Career Projection: Special Teams/Backup
Analysis: Moore is an interesting prospect out of Salmon Creek, WA. He has a lot of speed, but not a lot of direction. He could possibly be thrown in the RB rotation, as he has B+ agility and C ball carrier vision. He is fragile with a 'D' rating in injury, and D break tackles is far from impressive. He doesn't really have the skill set to play on defense, so he will be mainly used on special teams and special run formations.
    Predicted Rating: 63

I like his size for a TE. Pretty good 3 star pickup, should fit well into your offense.

Never had a 4 star TE. I mean look at UNLV's Jordan Sparkman from last year, he was like 65 overall lmao. You just need a TE with decent size and can block.
