Cagliari draws against Corinthians at home in a shoot out. The Italians draw first blood in the 3rd minute as Pinilla beats the defender to head in the first goal- Corinthians answer with 2 consecutive strikes to end the half up 2-1. Cossu levels and Pinilla puts the Homeside ahead very briefly- as Emerson answers back immediately in the 69th minute. Both Teams had opportunities to take all three points at the end but the Defenses held on to share the spoils.

In a dominant performance- Cagliari wins away against Feyenoord. The Dutch side strikes first with a header that gets by GK Agazzi- that seemed to signal the intent of the Homeside- but 3 goals in a span of 13 minutes left no doubt of the result as Feyenoord were unable to break through the Defense- V. Ibarbo continues his scoring with a Team high double that assured Cagliari a Top of the Table finish for Week 1 of the Campaign.

    CAGLIARI 4-1 B.M'GLADBACH

Cagliari withstood an early flurry from B.M'Gladbach to win at home in their Season opener 4-1. CDM A.Ekdal proved lethal from outside the box providing a brace for the cause and assisting in the go ahead goal courtesy of ST V.Ibarbo. The match was closer than the score line as Cagliari added 2 goals in the 90th minute to put the match to bed- B.M'Gladbach were unlucky early, as a shot hit the crossbar from a 1v1 when the Germans caught the Italian squad napping in the first 5 minutes of the match. V.Ibarbo scores the deciding goal as he slides the ball under a diving GK Stegen.

Poor shooting from Cagliari dooms the Homeside to a disappointing Draw against fellow Italian Club Catania. Cagliari were unable to find the accuracy needed to put the match away as shots from V. Ibarbo, Cossu and Pinilla went wanting throughout the Match. Catania were ruthlessly efficient in their opportunities as they score on only 3 shots on goal.

In a track meet of a match- Aston Villa draws at Home against visiting Italian side Cagliari. The Villans drops valuable points in the 89th minute as Cagliari found themselves on a break from a set piece- M. Sau finds a streaking Pinilla who slots home the tying goal in the dying minutes of the match. The English side drew first blood as N'Zogbia finds Agbonlahor with a near post cross and the quick ST beats the Defender to score the first goal of the Match. Cagliari were saved from a devastating loss after an impressive showing- goals went wanting from the Italian side they out shot the Villans 2 to 1.

A brace from both V.Ibarbo and M.Pinilla breaks open a home stand between Cagliari Calcio and Olympique Marseille. GK Mandanda had a poor showing as he allows four goals on 6 SOT. M. Agazzi was up to the task styming OM's potent offense in the 1st Half in which his side were outplayed for most of the half. M.Pinilla gives the Italians the lead 1-0 going into half on a header from a cross. V. Ibarbo puts the match to bed with his 1st of two as he catches the post and clangs it into goal for a 2-0 lead- Cagliari puts two more in as the French squad pushed to get a goal in the dying minutes.

    VfB STUTTGART 2-2 CAGLIARI (A)

In a clash of styles- Cagliari battles it out with VfB Stuttgart to a draw. The German side's Defense was impressive but a Goal of the Week contender from Pinilla beats the Great German GK Adler as the ball finds the top corner for the first goal of the match. Not to be out done- Harmik scores a similar shot as Agazzi was helpless to stop the salvo in the first minutes of the second half. Another goal from Pinilla gave the Italians the lead but a header from Hamburger splits the spoils for both Teams as time ended.

    V. Ibarbo hat trick buries the German Homeside in Coppa play. Hamburger SV draws first blood in the first 10 minutes and it looked as if the Italians were set for a fight. But 4 goals in twenty minutes puts the game out of reach before half time as the Italians cruise to their first Coppa Win.

An Epic Defensive Meltdown from Cagliari- as they allow 3 goals in a span of 7 minutes in the dying minutes of the Match has the Italians suffering their most devastating loss of the Campaign- with 12 minutes to play- Udinese scored to bring the Match at 2-1 in favor of Cagliari, the goal rattled the Dominant home side as Udinese pressed for an equalizer. Two minutes later Udinese were rewarded as they equalize in the 80th. The epic comeback was completed as G. Pinzi completes his Brace with a screamer as he was left open for a free shot on goal- for the game winner.

Cagliari Calcio starts the 2nd half of the Season in style- as they win Away in Brazil against Offensive Powerhouse Corinthians- The Brasilians draw first blood as Emerson fires the opening salvo to the Top corner- but The Italians answered every Brasilian goal with one of their own- before Defensively clamping down at 2-2. M.Sau puts the Italians up for good as he slots in a goal before half time 3-2. The Italians pull away as Corinthians push for an Equalizer that opened up the backfield to the Speedy Front of Cagliari- MOTM M.Pinilla was critical in holding the Brasilians at bay as he answered every single Corinthian goal early with one of his own to secure a well earned MOTM Award.

Unlucky 1st Half for Marseille as Valbuena hits the post and the side netting on an open net on the rebound. The French squad had the Italians on the ropes as Cagliari failed to impose their will in the 1st Half. The second half improved for the italians as they switched tactics and found M.Pinilla streaking toward goal on a long pass that he puts pass a diving Mandanda. The game started to go the Italians way as Cossu makes an improbable bicycle pass to an open Pinilla in the box to seal all three points for the Italians.
