Coach Cal is hovering around again. Your team is always in the Pac-10 conersation how does your team stack up to run that 9 game guantlet?

Tough loss to Notre Dame. What was the pulse of the team after that game?

Who will you lean on to get it done game in and game out?

As of right now this team is focused and ready for the challenges that we will face this season. Cal is looking to continue to push themselves to continue to ultimately get to the rose bowl. I believe the toughest weeks that we will face is week 5 through 7. We face UCLA on the road, USC, and Oregon on the road.

Tough loss to Notre Dame. What was the pulse of the team after that game?

After losing that tough game it really made the coaching staff and player of Cal to wake up. Notre Dame is a very talented team but we lost because we only showed up for 3 quarters. But with every loss comes a time for learning. We studied that game and really worked on a few areas that we needed to fix. Hopefully by the time we play UCLA we will be running on all cylinders.

Who will you lean on to get it done game in and game out?

The whole team. Everyone has to be focused and do their jobs or else we will lose, especially in the tough conference like the Pac-10. Our standouts on offense is SR WR J.Sparks whose speed and size will enable him to create alot of plays. On defense All American SS Soph M.Taylor who seems to be always around the ball creating turnovers.

Big win vs UCLA talk about it.

You said you wanted to be "running on all cylinders" did it feel that way against UCLA?

Man the Pac 10 is tough just like last season with USC, UCLA has had some tough conference losses, will any team just dominate this conference year in and out or is this a conference of parody?

Dang didn't notice the second set of questions there. (Was out of town when you posted)

UCLA is always a tough game for Cal. Their passing game and overall speed pose major challenges to overcome. One of the major goals that differentiated this game vs the game we played last year was turnovers. Last seasons destruction of Cal by the hands of the Bruins was mainly due to the large amount of turnovers that Cal gave up which resulted in hardly any offensive production. This year Cal didn't have any turnovers and produced 447 yards on offense yet we still barely won.

You said you wanted to be "running on all cylinders" did it feel that way against UCLA?

At the begininng of the 3rd QTR Cal was up by 10 points (24-14). The 3rd QTR almost proved to be fatal for Cal by allowing the game to be tied up at 24 and losing by 7 in the early 4th. There is definitly room for improvement and need to improve on efficiency converting 1st downs. The defense needs to improve by creating more turnovers especially in such big games.

Man the Pac 10 is tough just like last season with USC, UCLA has had some tough conference losses, will any team just dominate this conference year in and out or is this a conference of parody?

I believe that since there is no one dominate team in this conference it really shows the major competition here. In the Pac-10 we have some of the best programs in the nation. USC, UCLA, and Oregon will always be a major consideration to be champions of the Pac-10. Even Oregon St is starting to make some noise. The Big10 will feel the power of the Pac-10 come future rose bowl games :)

Talk about your journey and your match up in the Rose Bowl:

This year has been an exciting With the 21 point rally by Notre Dame at the begininng of the season provided a very grim picture for the rest of our season. But our team took the necessary steps of playing smart on and off the field to achieve victory.

Through all our hardwork from the offseason until now we finally get our chance at the Rose Bowl. We are looking forward to meeting the Wolverines on the gridiron so we can show the BIG 10 what a buncha sissy men they really are. :) In all seriousness we respect that they went through a similar journey going 10-1 but considering that they play against Big 10 opponents, 8 of those 11 games shouldn't count and the 1 loss should count as double.

A wise man once told me a bear will always defeat a wolverine in a fight. It's like Pee Wee Herman (Michigan) vs The Undertaker (The University of Cal) in a cage match.
