Cardinals 38 - 49ers 25 San Francisco, CA – After a tough lost against the Giants on week 14 this one was as a most win game as it gets. In order to keep a slim hope of fighting for the division lead the Cardinals knew they had to have this one, and that they did. From their first couple of possession you knew the Cardinals came focused into this game. It only took the Cards 1:00 minute to take the lead that they never surrender the rest of the game. On their first possession they were facing a 3rd and 5 on the 20 yard line. That’s when the player of the game QB McCadden found Ginn on an 80 yard bomb. It was a perfect thrown ball between the FS and the CB that was playing cover 2. The 49ers were not as effective on their first couple of possession as QB Kaepernick threw 2 picks on their back to back possessions. The Cardinals capitalize on their mistakes when QB McCadden hit WR Roberts on a 49 yard strike to push the lead 14-0. After a 3 and out by the 49ers the Cards were able to get a FG in before the 1st quarter ended. 17-0 end of the first Quarter. After a couple of scores by Arizona in the 2nd quarter the 49ers responded with a 102 yard Kickoff return by James to get a little closer 31 – 7 Cardinals at the half way point. It looked like the Cardinals were going to run away with this one, but after a great drive by the 49ers which culminated on a 65 yard pass to TE Davis followed by a two point conversion to pull closer at 31-15. The niners force a 3 and out and were able to capitalize on great field position for a FG, to make the score 31-18; however, on the ensuing possession QB McCadden took his team 80 yards down the field on a 15 play drive that ended up with a 8 yard TD run by McCadden to crush the hopes of a comeback by the niners. The Cardinals sit at 8-5 and are looking to close the season with 2 divisional match ups Week 15 against the Rams and the final game of the season against the divisional leading Seahawks. It should be an interesting 3 weeks. Good game bro and gl the rest of the season.
