After the first game disconnected midway through the 2nd quarter and the Jets up 17-3, the decision was made to replay the game in its entirety. After not being able to find any running lanes in the first try, the second game would be a complete turnaround as the Cardinals would account for almost 250 yards on the ground. Ryan Williams would rush for about 170 yards and a couple touchdowns, while backup Danny Woodhead would rush for 70 of his own including a touchdown. With the ground game established, the Cards were able to run clock while keeping the chains moving and keeping the Jets offense on the sidelines. From there, the Cardinals defense took over with their 4th straight game of allowing less than 250 yards to their opponets including 3 takeaways. Jets QB Steve Hardin was never able to get into a groove until late in the game when the game was already out of hand. The game would end with a 37-14 score. The Cardinals move to 5-2 on the season and face division mate Eddie and his Rams next week before a much needed bye in week 9.
