The Cards traveled to Minnesota in hopes of continuing their winning ways but it would not be what they expected as the Vikings gave them more than expected and then some. For most of the game the Vikings completely shut down the Cardinals offense resulting in 2 interceptions. The Cardinals only points would come on a field goal and a kickoff return by Larod Stevens-Howling. Luckily for the Cards, their defense would keep them in the game by forcing 3 field goals when the Vikings were deep in their territory and another field goal that would bounce off the cross bar and fall short leaving them in striking distance down 16-10 in the 4th. The Cards would get one last chance with under 2 minutes to go in the 4th and put together their best drive of the day. Eventually they would have a 1st and 10 at the 12 with under a minute left and looked primed to score until Jared Allen would sack Skelton for the 3rd time on the day for a 7 yard loss. Following an incompletion the Cards were faced with a 3rd and 17 from the 19 yard line with just under 30 seconds left and no timeouts. Knowing they had no timeouts Skelton knew he would have to get it into the endzone or close enough so they could spike the ball but that would not be needed as he found Michael Floyd blow by his man over the middle and he was able to hold on to the ball despite a big hit from the safety for the score and 17-16 lead with 20 seconds left. Kerry Rhodes would pick off Ponder for his 2nd on the day to wrap up the game.

    Hell of a game Eric!
