The Cards traveled to Atlanta to take on the mighty Atlanta Falcons in week 11. The game didn't start out as the Cardinals had hoped with the Falcons marching right down the field. Faced with a 3rd and 17 Matt Ryan would throw a beautiful post route to Roddy White who ran right past Patrick Peterson for the score. The Cardinals would get the ball hoping to respond but those hopes were dashed quickly as Brent Grimes would pick off the John Skelton pass deep in Cardinals territory. The Cardinals defense would step up and make a goal line stand forcing the Falcons to kick the field goal and take a 10-0 lead. The 2nd quarter would be much of the same as the Cardinals could put nothing together and the Falcons would chew most of the clock converting first down after first down. Faced with a 3rd and goal from the 3 with 13 seconds left and no timeouts left in the half, the Falcons opted to attempt to punch it in one more time but the defense would stop Lousaka Polite at the 1 yard line to keep the clock moving. Unfazed, Ryan got the team back to the line and snapped the ball with 1 second left on the clock to find Julio Jones for the 1 yard score and take a commanding 17-0 lead into the half.

The Cards would come out in the 2nd half knowing they had to step up on offense and bring more pressure to Ryan who was feasting on our secondary. The Cards would first get on the board late in the 3rd quarter with a 73 yard pass to Michael Floyd to make it 17-7. Adrian Wilson would get the first pick of Ryan on the day late in the 3rd giving the Cards the ball back near midfield. It would take only 2 plays and Skelton would find TE Rob Housler over the middle for a 7 yard score bringing the Cards to within 3. With all the momentum on their side, the Cardinals defense would take over. After being beaten badly earlier in the game, Peterson would step up and get his 1st pick of the day on the Falcons next possession, once again giving the Cards the ball in Falcons territory. This time it would take only one play as Beanie Wells would take the handoff 31 yards for the score and the Cards first lead at 21-17. After punts by both teams, the Falcons would have the ball deep in their own territory thanks to a beautiful punt by Dave Zastudil. As they had all second half, the Cards elected to send pressure and it paid off as they would sack Ryan for the safety. After being forced to punt again, the Cardinals defense would step up again as Patrick Peterson would pick off his 2nd pass of the day, this time returning it for the touchdown and a commanding 30-17 lead late in the 4th. Jay Feely would add a field goal to make it 33-17 and the Cardinals defense would keep the Falcons from threatening the rest of the game.
