So what are ya'lls thoughts on the proposed setup? Summary: I personally would like to take the extremely SLOW play on things, meaning the worse we are and harder it is to start, the more replay value and longer the climb to the top to keep us interested. This means: Being Horrid teams. No more even being UTEP or Rice. I'm talking WKy, Texas State, ULMonroe, Buffalo, etc. I say 1 star and bottom 20 teams only. Heisman Recruiting: I'm sure it will be beyond brutal, especially since we will be figuring out a basically all-new recruiting system. But to struggle in recruiting without being guaranteed automatic good recruits (meaning push a few buttons and get 10 guys that are better than what you should easily get) it will make it a challenge and really reward those that put in the time. (just note it could be frustrating to go 3-9 and get like all 1 star guys the 1st year). Conference setup: Along the lines of being horrid teams, I propose we stick to the 3 bottom barrel conferences. This is were a true climb begins, inside either the Sun Belt, MAC, or WAC. The MWC and CUSA are not the bottom. Obviously this means more guys together in conferences early which I like but will take more scheduling. These are obviously just ideas. Let's think through it.
