    Round 1 Game 1

    Istanbul BB (3) v Napoli (3)

    Istanbul BB:
    :goal: 43' Holosko
    :goal: 58', 65' G. Unal

    Napoli:
    :goal: 49', 76' Cavani
    :goal: 78' Gargano

Istanbul BB just wasn't fit enough to keep the leads they got. Especially after taking a 3-1 lead, they just didn't know how much Napoli could step up their incredible pressure all over the pitch with three four of them attacking the ball carrier like hungry lions. Istanbul was able to hold up for about 10 minutes against this pressure, but then the big skill difference between the two teams' players made the difference.

"Well it was a wake up call for us. We realized that in this league this team can play its best and go up a few goals up, but then when our opponents step it up, we simply do not have the skill level to survive the type of pressure these top teams can put on the pitch when they're desperate for the win. I wish good luck to Istanbul BB next season since I will be departing from this club." said hedache, confirming the rumors that he'd be gone.

lol yeah, ultra attacking and trying to get the ball to score 2 goals in the remaining 25 will do that.

hedache is the Larry Brown of the TFL (he's a basketball coach who likes to change jobs frequently if you didn't know ;)).

So, where will you be managing next year?? I would love it if you went French like me or if all else fails, you could follow a living legend and take over Juve. :p

Hopefully you will finally take a team where you can compete a little better. That said, I've seen you play as ManU and wasn't too impressed. J/K bro.. I think you belong in the Premier League and I think you'll be there if you just take a team that's competent. If you again take a 3* team, I'm going to think you just like bitching about how bad your team sucks. :yellowcard:

I'm working on a contract with the Galatasaray board for 12. They want me back, but I have some terms they will have to comply with. Especially with the squad. So far the first few signings are ok. This weekend they started on a big signing attempt. They already negotiated with Atletico Madrid for the rights of Forlan, Reyes and Ujfalusi. They need to convince the players as well, which I doubt will happen. If they can build a good team, I can lead them to Premiere since after this season, not much will be left in League 1. The only thing we will have to work on will be to figure out a way to stop Villareal's headers, and train the other teams about it as well so they can stop him too. Otherwise I don't think Villareal will lose another game again.

Well for my first time playing Blaza, I think I did ok.

Both goals came off bad turnovers in my own half that were completely preventable. The first game Blaza had control for the majority of the game. His defense is very tough to crack. The 2nd game was a bit more competitive. We created a lot more chances but we were denied by the woodwork no less than 3 times.

It was frustrating but nice to see that we can at least compete with a top level player, especially after we were demolished in consecutive 4-0 drubbings by the feet of Juventus the day before.

Good game my man. You were definitely very unlucky in that second game. I guess that's why they call the woodwork a Goalkeeper's best friend! Seeya next time.

So how does this work out now? If Fulham wins, the semis are Porto-Fulham and Arsenal-Man City but if Tottenham wins then its Porto-Arsenal and Man City-Tottenham. Anything off about that?

Count me in for that plan. I'd much rather play you or Blaza instead of JFace. I seem to always bring my A game against you two and JFace has had my number recently.
