I am sure Blaza will post it soon. But I took the front end of the 2 game series 3-2 but was unable to seal the deal after losing 4-1 in the second leg. Had a little momentum going down 4-0 in game 2. Scored a quick goal and 2 minutes later went off the crossbar. In retrospect, played too conservative at the start of game 2, playing not to lose as opposed to winning.

Those were great games. You stunned me in the first game scoring in the 92nd minute. Your offense is high powered, I realized I couldn't sit back to beat you. Bafetembi Gomis went BONKERS in our 3 matches (incl TFL). He scored 9 goals over the 3 games! Anyway, I have the scores at home, I'll post them when I get back.

That seems to be the problem, against most teams (everyone that isn't you and AJ) I have just enough defense. You two are clearly the class of the league and I have some work to do and some strategizing to do to get into that upper tier for season 3.

You'll get there. Your offense is easily one of the best. Kun Aguero is a MONSTER---had a very hard time stopping that guy. I switched my Center-Back pairing after the first game and that seemed to make things a little better, but I was still on edge throughout all 3 games. Honest question--How many curse words did you direct towards Gomis? :D

    Champions League Semi-Final (Match 1)

    Benfica 2 @ Juventus 5

    Benfica

    Goals
    Luisiao (23')
    Cordozo (45')

    Juventus

    Goals
    Conetraeo OG (5')
    Iaquinta (24')
    Quagliarella (42')
    Del Piero (49')
    Iaquinta (68')

What a weird one this was. The game started off when a Iaquinta header got past the keeper and while the defender was trying to clear it, he accidentally hit it in his own net. Not a ton of brilliance in this one as both clubs weren't electrifying but Juve was able to take advantage of the mistakes better. Save the Del Piero free kick Goal, I think all the goals were results of bad defending by both sides. It was a big win as this made it almost impossible for Timpe's Benfica squad to get past the Italian giants..

    Champions League Semi-Final (Match 2)

    Juventus 1 @ Benfica 0

    Juventus

    Goals
    Quagliarella (12')

    Benfica

    Cards
    Javi Garcia :yellowcard:(78')

The offensive explosion of the first game was not there in this one as both defenses really showed up and played well. Both teams did have chances but both bad finishing and good goal keeping kept this one close. A Quagliarella rebound goal in the 12' held up as Juve made sure that Benfica wasn't ever going to get any real good looks.

GG's to Timpegoose.. The first game, the final score wasn't a good indicator of how the game played. He played well in both games but I just caught the breaks. Good luck on the rest of your season and hopefully you can gain promotion.

Definitely some good games. It was interesting how much different the second game was from the first. My defense was absolutely awful in the first one, but in the second game I apparently remembered how to play it lol. The first game was just weird all around. I thought I had a chance at 2-1 and then you definitely broke the game open. I was going to try out the 5-4-1 I've been working on in my home leg but being down 5-2 going into it didn't really give me a chance to do it lol.

Great games Darlon. It just wasn't meant to be for Lyon this season. Good luck in the finals.
