Upset about their poor performance earlier in the week against Sevilla, Napoli took to the field with determination and turned that determination into goals with a 5-2 win. Some great link up play led to most of the goals for Napoli, quick passes finding a man streaking toward goal except the Cannavaro goal which came off a corner. Sevilla's goals came from trickery to get to the end line and then crossing toward the back post for a tap in. Good games.

It appears that Navas is slightly injury prone.

Hamsik scored in the 10th when he shot, had it blocked, recovered the ball, shot, hard it blocked again, recovered that shot again and shot for a third time, this time into the net from point blank. Off the kick off, Madrid raced down the flank and got clipped in the box for a PK which Falcao finished. In the 25th, Goran Pandev slalomed through the Madrid defenders to finish to make it 2-1. Adrian scored right before half when Turan hit him in the box and he turned and narrowly avoided a tackle to finish. 2-2 at half. Courtois had kept several more out before the half to keep that scoreline and had a fantastic game. Cavani made it 3-2 in the 52nd off a corner in which the keeper rushed out but didn't make it in time and left an open net for the header. Adrian against equalized in the 65th when he and Falcao linked up back and forth before Adrian cut in and fired for the far corner. De Sanctis had a poor game only making 2 saves out of 5 chances. Cavani gave Napoli the lead just two minutes later when he received the ball and played in Maggio who fired but had it saved but only back to Cavani for the tap in. Gamberini capped it off at 5-3 in the 80th on a corner where again the goalie raced out and missed the ball leaving an open net. An exciting match for the fans for sure. GG

Borussia Dortmund walks into the San Siro and pummeled AC Milan in the closing part of the second half for three points in the group stage. This match was the exact opposite of their previous meeting in the premier league, where Milan gave Borussia I righteous beat down. The match opened up with Montolivo poaching a goal on a corner in the first half. Dortmund wearing their alternate kits at in Milan came level against the giants when Lewandowski showed some nice footwork only to put it off the bar but Piszczek made sure it found the back of the net. The game went back and forth but Dortmund consistently shut down the ball on this rainy evening. Dortmund opened up the scoring once again on perhaps the goal of the year. Reus pushed the ball up the left side and put it central toward Lewandowski who performed a crisp and entertaining bicycle kick to the far post, Abbiati was frozen as the ball flew past him. Shortly after, a turnover caused by Lewandowski on Nocerino allowe him to slot his second of the match. The third came on some creative play when Błasczcykowski played a ball to Gotze who let it thru to the feet of Lewandowski who miraculously found the ball on his feet after heavy traffic cheekily chipped Abbiati to get him his hat trick.
