4 Napoli v Atletico Madrid 1
Zuniga 7' Hamsik
Pandev 41' Hamsik
Cavani 52' Insigne
Cavani 82' (PK) Hamsik was given the assist for the pass that led to the PK I guess? I dunno, 4 assists on 4 goals is what was listed.
4 Goals 116 Shots 912 Shots on Target 652% Possession 48%34 Tackles 215 fouls 21 01 Corners 1 This one had some bizarre moments in it. I don't remember many of the goals but in the 45th minute, Falcao missed what was a bizarre PK and even more bizarre yellow card, given later occurrances. Atletico had the ball in the box and was winding up for a shot from an acute angle so Cannavaro tried to slide and block the far post from a distance. He slid just a few inches behind an Atletico player who was off the ball. After the ball went well wide of the target, the ref blew the whistle for a PK and gave a card. On the replay, Cannavaro's legs didn't touch the player and the player never flinched. The only thing I can think of is that maybe his hand nicked the player....However, the yellow for a player off the ball who had no chance of scoring and for basically breathing on him was ridiculous. However, the ball doesn't lie and Falcao had his PK saved by Morgan De Sanctis. In the 82nd minute, Hamsik found Cavani behind the Madrid back line. Courtois raced out but Cavani rounded him before Courtois completely clobbered him for a PK. Courtois was then not given a card at all despite clobbering Cavani to deny what would have been a sure goal with the net gaping after Courtois raced out. Cavani cooly finished it but the Napoli fans and manager are curious as to how their call was more severe then the Madrid call.
Borussia Dortmund 2 - 1 Liverpool FC
Reus (58') Gotze
Gerrard (54' pen)
This game was all nothing in the first half and all action in the second. All highlights were in the second half, Gerrard's penalty when Suarez flopped like an Argentinian jumping bean, he did a complete front flip. Reus had his first chance four minutes later after a quick stop and turn and burned his shot past Pepe Reina to the near post. Then Sterling had a glowing opportunity to feed Suarez a centre pass and Suarez blew the touch as Dortmund defenders slid all around their keeper but he dove to the ball before Suarez could complete his shooting motion. Then, the magic happened. Błasczcykowski had his dribble deflected away as he wound up for the shot, Reus was Johnny on the spot, and shagged the ball down by the goal like. He attempted a fancy flick pass to Błasczcykowski but Reina blocked the pass, and the ball fell right to Reus' calm feet and he slotted in his second goal of this match. Lewandowski sat his game out due to injury. Gg hedache
It was Pitzcek or something that was injured in this game.
Are Argentinian jumping beans famous? You know Suarez is from Uruguay though...?
