In a rematch from last season’s SEC Championship Game, the Florida Gators travel to Death Valley Louisiana to take on the LSU Tigers in a mid-season conference matchup. Florida has relied heavily on the pass thus far this season. QB John Brantley is a seasoned veteran now with a complete season under his belt. He is a very crafty passers with great vision. He has completed 74 of 99 passes for 1208yds and 13 tds to just 2 ints. His partners in crime are WR Deonte Thompson and WR Chris Rainey. Thompson is the “Big Play†receiver with 476yds on 14 rec and 5 tds. He currently averages 34 yds per catch. His counterpart, Chris Rainey is the work horse; hauling in 25 rec. for 394 yds and 5 td’s. Look for the Gators to spread the ball around and use their talent to overcome the home crowd.

Florida Gators QB John Brantley is one of the top passers in the country thus far this season. He will look for continued success against arch rival LSU.

LSU will look to pound the ball down the Gators throat with the likes of Michael Ford and Stevan Ridley. Ford, a 5’10 208lb. RB, is a bruiser with speed. He has currently rushed for 381yds on 69 car. with 5 td’s. When Ford is not on the field, look for Ridley to punish runners between the tackles. He has 154yds on 24 carries. But perhaps the secret weapon for the Tigers would have to be their QB, Jordan Jefferson. He hasn’t performed as well as expected so far this season, but he has talent nonetheless. He has good speed to keep the offense out of bad plays and a pretty good arm to make the difficult throws.

Having missed last years regular season contest due to injury, Jefferson will look to spread the ball around to his talented skill players!
