Chaos Week 9 Game of the Week

The Virginia Tech Hokies are the talk of the forum. Many believe that they are unworthy of their current #3 ranking. With the exception of their opening game with Boise St. (which they lost) The Hokies haven't played any team of "real" relevance. They're currently on the leagues pretenders list due to the softness of the talent level they've faced. Despite all this, Virginia Tech is in a good position to bolster their National image with a "Quality" win over a pretty good LSU squad. This is Virginia Tech's second appearance of the season as a National spotlight game. Although QB, Tyrod Taylor will miss this game due to injury, he is the driver of the high octane offense of The Hokies. He has currently passed for 758yds and 7 tds midway through the season. In his absence QB Logan Thomas, a highly tauted freshman, will have complete control of the offense. He has plenty of weapons to keep the pressure off of him. The engine of the offense would have to be the running game; specificly, RB Ryan Williams. Williams has a team high 664yds rushing and 7 tds on the year. Can the Hokies silence the critics and prove they are worthy as a team to be reckoned with or will they be exposed for the imposters they have been portraying thus far this season?

Virginia Tech RB, Ryan Williams looks to continue his running success in hostile territory.

The Tigers have been riding under the radar thus far this season. They had won 5 consecutive games and were undefeated until they dropped a thrilling overtime game at the hands of the Florida Gators a couple of weeks ago. Before being lost for the remainder of the season due to injury, The Tigers were led by QB, Jordan Jefferson. He had thrown for over 900yds this season with 4 td's and 5 ints. He also has 100yds on the ground with 3 rushing td's. JR QB, Jarrett Lee will take over the reigns unless he proves he can't make the necessary step to provide an instant spark this offense needs. He has seen some action this season, but has completed less than 50% of his passes with his ints doubling his td output. Maybe the most diappointing element thus far for LSU would probably be their running game. It has been average to moderate at best which has been the staple to the great teams of the past. RB, Richard Murphy currently leads the Tigers with 439yds and 4 tds. To take the pressure off of the emerging star they have at QB, the running game has to improve over the course of the last month of the season. Will Coach Maximus and the Tigers shake off the early season mishap and get back in the win column or will they lay down when it matters the most?

QB, Jarrett Lee will take over for an injured Jefferson. Does he have what it takes to led his team in a game of this caliber?
