In their first meeting of the season The San Diego Chargers came away with a home win against the Kansas City Chiefs. The Chargers defense came out to play in this game holding the speedy Jamaal Charles to only 32 yards in the game and held the Chiefs to only 3 points in the first half. On offense veteran QB Drew Brees continued to shake off the rust of retirement but also proved it's not easy coming back as he added 3 more INTs to his season totals but was able to find the endzone twice in the first half leading his Chargers to a 14-3 halftime lead. The Chiefs refused to go down without a fight as the third quarter was all KC as their defense forced a redzone turnover which led to a FG trimming the SD lead to just 8. Later in the quarter Chiefs QB Jourdan Boisture finally found the endzone and closed the gap to 14-12 but the Charger defense continued to hold strong as the stuffed the 2pt conversion attempt and midway thru the 4th SD would tack on another FG to give the Chargers their 2nd win of the season. GG redlishus I hope our next meeting in KC can live up to this one always nice to have a defensive battle!
