The San Diego Chargers came into this matchup against the Denver Broncos as a heavy underdog but were able to hang on in a wild turnover filled game to come out on top with a three point win. Things started off great for the bolts when Joe Adams returned the opening kickoff 104 yards for a TD. But the Broncos would keep the game balanced thanks in large part to QB Brock Osweiler who ended the day 24/36 for 363 yds 2 TDs and 2 INTs. The big story of the game came from defense. Fans had a better chance of seeing a turnover in this game that finding one in a downtown coffee shop. San Diego QB Philip Rivers was back in action this week following a horrendous showing by Kyle Nichols against Cleveland but Rivers would not solve the offensive woes as he threw 4 INTs against a stingy Broncos defense. The Broncos also had trouble keeping possession of the ball and that was thanks in large part to LB Manti Te'o who forced 2 of the 3 fumbles for the Charger Defense. Both teams were evenly matched in the game but San Diego found a way to put up a FG in the 4th and hold on for the victory.
