The Chargers defense brought the thunder forcing 6 turnovers in their 23-14 win over Cincinnati Week 6 saw the Chargers play their first game at home in 5 weeks and the Bolts looked to keep their 2 game winning streak alive against the visiting Cincinnati Bengals. This game proved to be a defensive slug fest as neither team was able to get into a solid rhythm offensively thus resulting in a total of 9 turnovers between the two squads. The 2nd quarter proved to be the most exciting from an offensive stand point as both teams were able to find the endzone on huge plays. The Bengals running back Logan Serratos breezed to the endzone on his longest play of the season (69yds) and the Chargers Kyle Nichols threw his 7th TD pass in 3 games when Ryan Mathews elusiveness helped him turn a simple screen into a 69yd TD play. Fast forward to the 4th quarter, the Chargers had a 16-7 advantage until the Bengals led their most successful drive of the game capped off with another Serratos TD closing the gap to 16-14 giving CIN the momentum they needed. The ensuing drive would see the Bengals defense continue to give the Chargers problems as they forced San Diego to punt but the Bengals would fall victim to a huge mistake by rookie WR Quinton Turner when his decision not to call for a fair catch resulted in a fumble. The ball would take a huge bounce for the Chargers as CB Arie Ofori was able to scoop the ball up on the 9yd line and take it in for a TD that would give San Diego their third straight victory.
